Ausmus will hopefully utilize him properly.

If Ausmus utilizes him properly -- we won't get to see Don Kelly playing very much.

Exactly! Defensive replacement late at third, pinch run late for Miggy, Avila or Victor, a few starts against righties, that's about it. Not every Sunday and Wednesday/thursday(get away days) like in the past.

I was convinced for the longest time that Brandon Inge and Ryan Raburn had incriminating photos of Leyland and they were black mailing him to make them start all the time. Don Kelly falls into that category too.

At least Inge was a pretty good player for a while.

Skatin' on thin ice here MikeD. That's some rough company to throw Donnie Boy in with. He knows he's a utility guy. Unlike Inge, who for some reason thought he was above that.

I have to say though, I thought Inge's career batting stats were a little better than they were (didn't realize he had an OPS+ of 82). But in the years he wasn't a complete waste of an at bat (04-06) to go along with good defense.

Inge batted .265/.327/.443 with a 102 OPS+. One of the better defensive 3B I've watched and most metrics rate him as a good defender. He was pretty much a poor man's Beltre.

There's no way Inge should have played as much as he did in 2011 though. He was just awful all year. He had some pretty lousy offensive seasons too, so I can't blame Tigers fans for their frustration around him. But I think it's a little exaggerated.

Sorry brotha. Just didn't want to you to fall into the Lions category of false sense of hope, where we look like heroes in the preseason and then get smacked back to reality in the regular season.

Look at it like this -- at least you aren't a Lions fan. We don't even know what it is like to be in the Super Bowl. Last time we made the NFL championship game -- the Super Bowl didn't even exist.

No, I fully expect the Twins to lose 87 - 93 games this year... And you are right it sucks about Sano but he's still very young hopefully he can come back from this and be everything we hope he can be.

I'm not sure whats worse, never being there or being there four times and losing everytime. To be honest i'm not old enough to remember the loses to the Chiefs and Dolphins, I do have some memory of losing to the Steelers and I remember quite well getting crushed by the Raiders. But nothing hurt worse than losing to the Falcons in the NFCCG in 98 to this day the only time I ever shed a tear over a sporting event. But hey baseball is my favorite sport by a long ways and the Twins got two in my lifetime so at least I got that...

I think you have a legit case for raburn. The other two at least arent or werent awful all of the time and at every aspect of baseball. Raburns plus minus had to be close to minus ten.

I have no idea why he kept starting every day....raturd shouldve only played vs lefties....the guy was a horrible defender....ill never forget a game i was at vs KC where he made 3 errors at 3B....the last one in the 10th that ended up being the winning run....man the boo's were loud that day....i figured he was gonna be on a fast track to toledo.....and that was 4-5yrs ago...

Raturd was babe ruth when the tigers were either up 7 or down 7....and nobody on base.....then he would hit a meaningless HR.

As soon as he came up in a close game with men on...whiff....whiff.....whiff.....

Inges pattern was...take strike one down the middle.....foul the next pitch.....and check swing K on the next.....his check swing K's were an every game thing.....

I know, right? My wife wasn't the greatest Inge fan, but Ausmus makes her melt. And she was head-over-heels for Tuiasosopo last year.

I don't know what to think of this. I don't have to suffer his return to the rotation I guess. His butt along with Davis should have been traded already with Garza, Santana, or Jimenez being in KC... Damn you, Dayton Moore. 5.2 million down the drain.:L

That stinks. He's just sitting there waiting for something like this to press a team into needing his services. One of the young guns then?

To replace Hoch? Quite the opposite, Bueno probably is replacing him in the short term in terms of roster spots. Maybe Joseph later on if somebody else sucks or gets hurt.
