Yeah, some "bandwagon" fans we have here in the Detroit area. The Tigers drew 3.2 MILLION fans in 2008 -- which was a LOSING season. When is the last decade-long stretch that Cleveland drew 3.2 million?

Hey, speaking of trash, how is Alex Avila doing? Remember when he was a better deal than Joe Mauer? And Mauer's contract would ruin the Twins? Well it did not. And we are getting better... not good, but starting to see the light. Now the Tigers are saddled with Verlander's contract, despite the fact that he only plays 20% of the games. Our minor league system has done their job, we have talent on the rise. While I do not share hockey's pessimism to all the rest of the club, I do share (I think) his excitement for the near future. We have watched the Tigers not get it done in the postseason. Maybe it is time for someone else to have a turn? And unlike Hockey, I do like Gardenhire. He is smart, competitive, and fits in nicely.

Those were the days..... To get front row seats for $15! Went to more games in 03 than any other season. But you got two free tickets when you bought a case of Pepsi back then. I am very excited for the future. Most of the team right now is just absolutely brutal. Mauer and Arcia are great to watch. Guys who go down looking 5 times to end innings...not so much.

Gardy is horrible. It becomes more and more apparent every game. So predictable it's actually sickening.

Like the Twins? How many playoff series did they win in the last decade when they were regularly winning the AL Central? Oh that's right ... ZERO. In fact, the Twinkies were swept in the ALDS in 2006, 2009 and 2010. I'd say the Tigers, despite gagging in the WS, have carried the AL Central banner a little higher in their last three postseason appearances.
