yes even with out Todd bertz and Abdelkater now.
wings had a 2 goal lead at Philly...

a team can only lose so many players to injury before it starts to show I guess.

Injurys lol sounds like an excuse

Sharks havn't had torres all year. Burns was out forever(13-0-1 with him in the lineup), havlat, boyle.

Just keep on winning in the WEST the BEST conference.

Wings suck so bad you get giddy if they lead by 2 after two periods....even if they blow it lol. Sad.

and yet...you are still ascared of the wings.

I can understand that.
your worse nightmare.. to face wings in the Stanley cup..
sharks are long odds to get there.
the Ducks and Kings are the strongteams out west..you would have to agree with that

Yeah the Ducks and Kings are strong. The whole west is strong. Its where the MEN play.

Wings even in the easier conference have no shot at the cup. Sharks have the pieces to beat anyone but..

Blackhawks, Blues, Ducks, Kings, Coyotes, Wild. That is a tough bunch to have to weed through. Canucks will probably worm in as a very dangerous 8 seed.

Why would the rookie of the year get sent down?

I mean I know we are stacked but the rookie of the year is not getting a demotion.

Wings could sure use a talent like him though.

Appears Detroit needed the money they saved by trading Fister, to help pay for Nathan. Illitch's pockets are not bottomless. Since Fister, Porcello, and Scherzer were known to be on the market....trade talk about them was, no doubt, been on going for weeks. The trade with the Nationals was the best DD got offered.....he needed to cut salary before signing Nathan.

I wouldnt be so sure, just when we think hey maybe they are bein financially smart they go out and sign a fielder. The old man gets urges.

Let's not go overboard -- Fister is an average #2, solid #3 starter -- he isn't a #1 like Shields. I've read up quite a bit on the guys they received. Robbie Ray averaged over 10 k's/9 in AA as a starter with a 11-5 record and 3.30 ERA and was one of the top 100 prospects in all of baseball last year (i think he was like 76th on the list).

Ian Krol was a top 10 prospect in all of the minors in 2010, as well as the Oakland minor league pitcher of the year. He had a 1.21 ERA out of the bullpen in triple A last year before getting called up by the Nationals.

Both players are 22 and left handed. So it isn't as if the Tigers got nothing out of the deal. I like to give Dombrowski and his scouts the benefit of the doubt, as they usually come away smelling like roses after every trade.

Cme on man really? There is nothing that screams special about either player. You are right, they didnt get nothing, but they didnt get much either. Bullpen prospects, not worth a good SP under team control at a ood price the next two years. I dont get it, we trade away a guy we can count on for 10-15 wins a year to eat up innings for next to nothing, than sign a closer for even more money, ugh.

Meh, if the Royals do sign Beltran ( would prefer Infante or Ellis at this point) it is time to trade Butler to the Mariners centering around Franklin and the other peculiars will hopefully mold into place.
