Vegas has the Lions win total at 7.5. ESPN the Magazine gives them 5 wins. CBS Sports has them at 8-8. The only people I see predicting a winning season for the Lions are Lions fans. That said, I could see 9 wins. But some of these people calling into the sports shows in town who say 11 or 12 wins are delusional.

Dirks was hitting about .190 with RISP coming into today. Nice to see him clutch up instead of clinch up for a change.

looked like another typical day at fenway for the tigers. we just cant score runs there.

Lacky gets no run support from the sox...he has like a ERA at home of 2.1. second best ERA at HOME than any otherpitcher in the AL.

Ortiz has been the only great hitter on that team, but they've been getting good production from a lot of their players. Of 12 players with 200+ PA, Middlebrooks is the only one with an OPS+ below 100.

As a team, the Sox are 2nd in the AL in BA, runs scored, OBP, SLG%, and OPS.
