Okay, fellas listen up.. here's the latest dirt on our division. Apparantly, a 3 way trade is all but wrapped up between the Red Sox, White Sox, and Tigers. Jake Peavy is said to be headed to Boston, Avisail Garcia is said to be going from Detroit to Chicago, and Iglesias is expected to br coming from Boston to Detroit.

This makes sense for everyone.. the Red Sox want another quality SP for a playoff push, the White Sox want to build for the future, and the Tigers want a solid backup SS in the event Peralta receives a suspension that he doesn't appeal. You can go to mlbtraderumors.com for the latest on this move.

& what do the fargin Indians do? Trade a low level prospect for a RP with 7.godforsaken ERA... :gaah:

Never know dude. Sometimes those crappy little deals are the big time ones.

Pavano was a pretty big addition for us when it looked like nothing. He pitched in for a year and half solidly.

Villareal is a maybe. If he gets his control issues ironed out, he could be lights out, but if the Tigers are including him, they obviously don't believe he will.

Dbacks have a better record than the Nats who you are getting giddy over beating.

Do you want the Phillies record compared with the Dbacks?

Or how about the Rays record their last 25 games?

Why do you always try to play games you will badly lose?

No. It was you that wanted to yawn at the Rays beating the dbacks. I brought up the Nats record. You then mentioned the Phillies and winning 8/9. I used a better sample and proved the Dbacks as better again. How are you too dumb to understand?

As for the run differential.....the Ray's play in the AL East and have been without Cobb and Price for long periods. With Price back and Archer in the rotation, they are rolling.

Funny you didn't try overall records. Rays in the best division are 64-43. NEXT.

iam only dissing on Rays because mosfer and his little lacky IFFY have crowned them champs July 28.

still think they wont win AL East. but they could get WC.they just don't have the hitting.

still. Tigers have handle the Rays pretty good last 2 years

Tigers just lost a series to the Rays.

Rays have won of the better offenses in baseball

Nobody crowned them. You crown teams early like a dummy. We just know who is the best looking team in the division.

You think the Yanks win it.

As usual...you went 0/4.

Tigers just lost a series to the Rays.

Rays have won of the better offenses in baseball

No clue what the argument is about as I haven't read this thread. Just came by to check out what people were saying about trading away Avisail Garcia to a division foe.

As for the Rays and Tigers. Very comparable teams. Both have strong offenses, but Detroit ranks better in every offensive category. Both have strong pitching staff. Detroit's starting pitchers rank better in pretty much every category (wins, IP, strikeouts, WHIP, ERA), but TB's bullpen is better than Detroit.

TB has dealt with Cobb and Price missing time. Detroit has dealt with Verlander being terrible for almost 2 months.

Detroit is going to have to more than likely deal with the loss of Peralta pretty soon. So that is going to hurt them offensively, but Iglesias will give them a shortstop with more range they were trying to pick up. Iglesias should help groundball pitchers like Fister and Porcello.

Both teams are very comparable -- I'd say starting rotation is a push. I'd say Detroit has the advantage in the lineups and Tampa has the advantage in the bullpens.
