We'll have to see how the Rzpeczynski deal works out. Doesn't appear to be a necessary move but you never know. The guy the Indians gave up is young but seems like he won't really be missed.

Now they are saying that MLB will announce suspensions Wednesday. A-Rod's and the rest together. I hope Peralta decides to fight his postponement and plays this season. If not.....I am sure Indian and Royal fans will enjoy seeing the Tigers 6,7,8,9 hitters consisting of Dirks, Santiago, Perez, Avila or Pena!

Peralta's not coming out of that lineup.. he would appeal, which would take it into next season for a decision, I feel sure. Think he would chance screwing up a big season in a contract year.. AND miss being on a team likely destined for the playoffs?? No.. I think not.

Also, if I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. You DOOOON't give heavy power linejps like that of Detroit multiple chances with RISP. Another case in point tonight. Strasburg, I think the world of the kid's ability and his future.. but, he got burnt making that mistake. The first time when he allowed RISP, he got away with it.. the 2nd time he allowed it, he gave up 1 run.. but, the third time?? No sahh-- Grand Slam Avila. Say what you will about Avila's lousy average, but man.. don't insult the dude by challenging him with a meatball with the sacks jammed-- he DOES have good HR power for a catcher though. The point is, someone in that lineup is going to hurt ya bad when they keep getting tempted like that with RISP. The Tigers don't have the highest RPG average because they play in a hitters park, ya know Soon these pitchers are gonna learn that you take EVERYONE serious in that lineup.. 1 thru 9, period.
