Cleveland is going to have a LOT of roster turnover fairly soon

Walters has got to be up soon

Sabrowski is getting closer

Stephen and Fry are getting closer

Bieber will be here

thats at a minimum- not counting like Delauter, Brito, etc.

Guards are still such a young team with talent coming and most everyone locked in for a while. It really is just the beginning for them in a lot of ways besides Jose - (which is obviously a big BESIDES)
Crazy that when you do look at the injures those injured players cost $30M of the $67M active payroll. So basically their roster is made up of $37M this season to this point...wow lol

Win or spend? Bc those are two very different things. Baseball is definitely different with no cap too. You can call them cheap...and I will fully agree with you and I can't wait for the owner to be long gone.
They do seem to hire the right guys. The developing of players and scouting team along with seemingly selling these players at the time is right there at the top of the league. Spend maybe even just 10% more and it probably makes a big difference.
Can't have a strong will to win and be near bottom in spending when team is in a contending window.

And of course no one thinks need to spend like NY or LA but in this window cannot keep up with teams/cities like Milwaukee, Cinci, Detroit or MN?

No doubt they have hired an incredible FO - arguably the best in the sport.

Imagine what this team could become next few years if ownership had a strong will to win like other owners in the city.

Granted have not kept track of what Brito is doing this year but have to think if Rocchio cannot start hitting he may get a chance over him (with Arias full time SS)?
Brito was raking but got hurt. He would likely be up right now if not--- although Schneeman ahs been playing great.

Thomas basically been hurt and ineffective, and not having Fry has really hurt early on.

It amazes me the Guards have the record they have to be honest with you.

I think Fry has started taking some swings- all though its a bummer that he will only be able to DH. He is really a nice weapon when he can catch, play outfield, etc.

Yeah I think they have played the second least number of games vs teams greater than .500 but either way...everything has been below average except for their BP and Clase was awful to start the year. Impressive nonetheless

Rocchio has been brutal

his very solid post-season from last year is starting to become a distant memory...he seems like his confidence is at an all time low.
I just don't see him as their future SS. He has these spurts where he hits well but overall like Bo...just a sub .200 hitter and his defense is not great to keep him at the position long-term

the defense is weird- he has all the ability- but seems to have mental lapses...

ill tell ya- if the Nationals had half a brain theyd give up whatever to get Walters from the Guards.....geez the Nationals bullpen is sooooo bad.

I like what the Nats are doing offensively too. They had a young, talented lineup but their pitching is brutal. I mean they have Gore and Parker then a pile of shit. Although that Rutledge kid looks good

Tigers just having a Bukakke party on the Rockies today
Pretty crazy we saw the White Sox put up historically bad numbers last year and this Rockies team is worse lol

-109 through 37 games is nasty work. On pace for -477 run differential and 22 wins

the Rockies just do not have any good players.

I play fantasy baseball- and I can never remember a team where basically the whole roster is bullshit.....I mean especially in Colorado where one or two hitters should emerge just because of the HR potential of Coors Field.

They are so bad- and its not even like their minors is that good. Condon will be interesting though he has a huge boom/bust potential. Dollander is legit but pitchers get eaten up at Coors and they rushed him to the big leagues when there was no point to doing so......keep his innings down, keep his service time down and call him up in late May. Made no sense to bring up Dollander so early. Such a poorly run team. They have the reputation of being the worst run team in baseball.

Which tangentially brings me to Nolan Jones- man his stats are awful- but I am sure you have prob heard write-ups, radio, etc. that says all his metrics are outstanding and hes had beyond shit luck. He has no options so they are gonna stick with him for a while- but I gotta be honest---- I always had a soft spot for Brennan--- I dont think hes a long term starter by any means- but I think he can at least be somewhat productive and a nice 4th outfielder......Id give him a chance soon if Noel and Jones keep stinking. Too bad DeLauter is out till atl east end of May and then will have to get major at bats in the minors---- I would say AT THE EARLIEST - if he rakes when he comes back- maybe we see DeLauter in early July.

its so Guardians that there 2 solid hitting prospects that were close- Brito and DeLauter- both got multi-month injuries....which honestly- after you bring them back and ramp them up in the minors- wipes out practically half the season.

Id love to see Brito at 2nd right now, Arias at SS and Schneeman roam from 2nd to OF, etc. even a little SS.

Saw the Guardians have won 7 of their last 10. They catch Nola tonight who was just terrible in his first 5 starts but his last two have been pretty good.
