Jose Miranda started a gross 5/52 at the plate to his major league career.

Since then he is 74/225 which is good for a .329 average with a .548 slugging%

Hes the guy the Twins need to lock up.

I agree with you about Miranda. I had a chance to talk to him a bit when he played in Cedar Rapids and he is a good guy.

Steven Kwan is such a great draft pick and find by the Guardians - 5th rounder- can absolutely rake.

Guardians are just at the beginning of turning over their team- so much talent still to come and having a very good year. They are definitely early with contention for the division.
He should win AL ROY over Rodriguez. Kwan has an advantage in every category other than HR’S and RBI’s but that is expected being a leadoff hitter. They could give it to Rodriguez bc of that simple fact but it would be a joke

Uh, Rodriguez has a higher OPS. The season is only 75% over anyway, a lot can still change.

lol what

J-Rod: .266/.326/.466, 129 wRC+, .341 wOBA, 21 SB/6 CS, 3.0 fWAR in 436 PA
Kwan: .301/.374/.397, 124 wRC+, .342 wOBA, 12 SB/4 CS, 2.8 fWAR in 447 PA

You know that J-Rod is also a leadoff hitter, right? And while Kwan does have a much better OBP, J-Rod still has a higher wRC+. And if we're going to get into the whole role discussion, J-Rod has as many runs scored as Kwan anyway. Also Rutschman has a higher wRC+ and he plays a far more difficult position than either of them, though he does have fewer PA (but leads all rookies in WAR). I think those three are pretty tight but above everyone else (maybe Pena).

Not trying to shit on Kwan either, he's having a great year. He seems like he could be another Brett Butler type. But I don't see how he's demonstrably better. It is a pretty strong rookie class.

The only game I was concerned about in the Texas series was the game the Twins won. 1-3 against the Rangers when this team is supposed to be fighting for a playoff spot.......

The Twins currently are carrying 3 fucking catchers which would almost be considered absurd if those catchers were Mauer, Piazza and Posey

Ours are Gary fucking Sanchez, Sandy fucking Leon, and Caleb fucking Hamilton

Just an astounding organization.

Nick Gordon has actually been one of the few bats that has somehow imporved through the course of the year so I have to give him his due there.

Having said that, he could literally be the worst outfielder I have ever seen. That includes when we tried Sano out there.

He is without a double the worst I have ever seen of a player near his physique. Anyone close to him would be at the very least fat, out of shape, slow and probably white.

I was surprised when I saw his batting line and how well he was hitting.

Clase just absolutely mowed the Pads down in the 9th.

Stephen/Karinchak/Clase- they have put together a pretty good bullpen at the backend in Cleveland.

Still- a young team and 7 more against the Twins. The division will be decided in September during those games.

for some reason the Guardians finish the season on a 6 game homestand against the Royals- which is just odd.

Twins in free fall. Surprise surprise, one would think our hitting coach would attempt to teach our players situational hitting but nah. Even if it's 2nd and 3rd, no outs, down 1 in the bottom of the 9th....our batters will go up swinging for the fences. Rocco seriously needs to go, he has lost the team again, even after our fast start, and many important games he would just trot out random pitchers regardless of the situation.

Wow. Can’t say I remember anything like that either.

Nice way to finish your schedule out.

Twins and Guardians have two 5 games series in Clevland this year due to the late start but both of those are 4 day series with a double header.

The 6 in a row for 6 days all at home is wild

Will be interesting to see if its a big edge or not. On one hand KC sucks and at that point might literally quit. But on the other hand, really hard do super well against the exact same team 6 days in a row.

Highly unlikely they will need to win anything more than 4 anyways(which is probably a stretch as well.)

Last night twins down 4 in the 9th. Rally to make it 4-2 with bases loaded 2 outs.

Shitty ass Jake Cave strikes out for the 4th time on 3 pitches.

Tonight down 5-1. Rally to make it 5-3 with 2 on no outs.

Shitty ass Max Kepler double play. Fuck he sucks. Shoulda traded him two years ago.

4 game lead for Guardians on both White Sox and Twins......Guardians pitching is really doing well lately.

Young team though- can help down the stretch or- can be a liability.
