So you are impressed with a team that can't reach .500 and will likely trade off any player who has a warm pulse come this July? Baseball is changing....you have to totally bottom out, rebuild your farm system, make a few minor trades, and wait out several years for a rebuild.

Pretty much the Astros formula. Three straight seasons of 100+ losses, then a World Championship a few years later.

This thread really died off.

Weird.

Thought folks would be more talkative in their SafeSpace. But coloring books are fun too.

I don't see Cleveland fans (a-hem) here commiserating over their deteriorating season. Although Mr. Kluber is giving Verlander a push into 2nd place in the Cy Young race.

Likely it will only be a matter of time until the universe rights itself and Cleveland has a good grasp on first place and Detroit is growing mushrooms in the cellar. However....I don't think the Indians will be as good as many predicted - or Detroit as bad. In fact, the battle for 5th place in the AL Central might turn out to be epic. Something people will tell their grandkids about. "I was there, the day Buck Farmer blew his 20th hold of the season."

0-3, 4.79 ERA this year. 5-14 with a 6.52 career ERA in the majors. Now 27 years old. At some point, you simply gotta say, "we blew it on this draft pick."

If the Twins could play the Tigers and White Sox about 80 times this year they might have a chance...

Was so pissed when he wasn't involved in the Granderson deal way back when. Lol
