Tigers can't score runs. 22 straight innings they have been blanked. I suspect that this kind of thing will pop up every few weeks for this Tiger lineup. Their first 4 batters in the lineup can contribute....but then it is a black hole of ineptness.

OH yeah...those D'Backs are playing pretty well, huh doug. When do you think Kershaw and the Dodgers will get out of the bottom of the NL West?

Yeah, three outta the five teams are in a rebuild mode, and Minnesota should have been in a rebuild mode, but they made the playoff last year and decided to go for it. Cleveland is off to a slow start, the hitting is lagging, but I don't expect that to last. Let's put it this way, if you trade Baltimore for Cleveland ... they might kick us all outta the league!!!

Look out for the White Sox next year or the following and the Tigers have some good strong arms down in the lower minors.

Negative about Tiger starting pitching is that, outside of Fulmer, you can't really expect any of them to get past 5 or 6 innings. (In Zimmermann's case, you hope for 3). Naturally that means more appearances for the "Bullpen of Fear".

Liriano went 6.1 Saturday, even though he threw just 83 pitches. When you have a 7 run lead, you should stroll through 7 innings with that pitch count. But he fell apart around 75-76 pitches and they had to bring in some bum who walked a batter, hit the next guy, served up a pitch that was hit on a line and almost killed his 3B, walked another batter...before Gardenhire HAD to take him out for the safety of everyone. If you are traveling to Toledo by bus...the guy seating next to you might be Warick Saupold.
Tigers then brought in Bill Dana (look him up and his character) who gave up a single, for two runs, before he got a batter to swing at a bad pitch to end the inning. Tigers entered the inning cruising with a 7 run lead, left with a 3 run lead and facing two more innings of trying to get outs from an awful bullpen.
