Lions pick (Ragnow) was a head-scratcher. Projected to go in Round 2, though his stock was rising in the days before the draft. I've heard that Quinn/Patricia may move him to guard, and the Lions do need a left guard. Perhaps Price from OSU was not someone they thought could move to guard.

Looking @ the current ALc standings the Indians are off to a slow start but still in 1st place. They will improve. And kudos to Detroit. I didn't think that minor league team would win 20 games all year & they're already half way there. Congratulations!

I think we're managed a little better this year, but it's going to be a long year for those expecting wins. I am seeing this year as the first year of a rebuild. I like what I'm seeing so far. The Indians were not strong out of the gate, but I really don't think that anyone in the division can compete with them. The division is the Indians to lose, and believe me that is not all it's cracked up to be.

Talk in Detroit papers that Zimmermann and Gardenhire are blaming "Zims" poor start, this year, on "Bad Luck". Not sure you can build an ERA close to 8 runs a game just on poor luck alone. In his last outing he admitted he could not control his breaking ball and relied almost completely on his (average?) fastball. Not promising.
I suspect that Detroit will have to play along with Zimmermann well into the summer, given his $24 mil contract this year. If things continue to slide downhill.....Tigers may have to eat a big chunk of the $70+ million they owe him. (Good signing Mr. Avila)
