you could.but getting him to sign it would be a trick.i agree but you cant put a provision in the trade where he has to sign a long-term deal here?

I don't see it happening for the reasons I listed, but I would do it for a 2nd. The 30m is just the going rate. I don't see Brandon coming here and then walking away from Jayden and Peters.and thats the thing in a nutshell , to get him you would have to overpay and you still could come up empty long term .. just wait to FA , they cant keep both deebo and him nor can the bengals afford higgins
if he calls Daniels as a negotiating tactic,it was dumb.why not go talk with the guy that drafted you in sf?I don't see it happening for the reasons I listed, but I would do it for a 2nd. The 30m is just the going rate. I don't see Brandon coming here and then walking away from Jayden and Peters.
Him calling Jayden and filming it seems like partially a negotiation tactic, but he has history with the QB and the GM. It's also not lost on me that we have the money to pay him what he wants. Probably another reason why we are on his radar.
1st is out of the question for me. That's our shutdown corner or franchise LT. A 4th is a non-starter for them. They can make a run with Aiyuk and still get a comp 3rd.
2nd rounder feels like the sweet spot. Not going to lose my mind if Peters passes. I do hope he makes a call, if he hasn't already.
Peters wouldn't have taken part in some public FaceTime the way Jayden did. Jayden and Aiyuk are actually best friends. Peters could get hit with a tampering charge for even talking with Aiyuk. Aiyuk wanted the 49ers to see that video.if he calls Daniels as a negotiating tactic,it was dumb.why not go talk with the guy that drafted you in sf?
they played at az together, right?Peters wouldn't have taken part in some public FaceTime the way Jayden did. Jayden and Aiyuk are actually best friends. Peters could get hit with a tampering charge for even talking with Aiyuk. Aiyuk wanted the 49ers to see that video.
There is that for sure. No doubt. A bunch of good teams are paying two wide receivers right now though.$50 million on two DTs and $50 million on two WRs seems like a lot to me.
The trick now is to find as many good 1st contract players as possible. As was just said you can't pay everyone.
if peters thinks bringing him to DC will make us a better team faster,I,m all for it.i have,nt seen him go wrong yet here.Fast forward to the 2:40 make to save yourself some time.e

Brandon Aiyuk to DC?

nope that violates the " good faith " clause in the CBA.i agree but you cant put a provision in the trade where he has to sign a long-term deal here?
any decent lawyer/agent would not allow that anyway.nope that violates the " good faith " clause in the CBA.
why ? simply wait till fa and save the picks and the roll over cap , we arent going anywhere this year . we arent winning a superbowl with BA this year . why take the chance and blow the draft pick and possibly lose the player too . then you are down 2 resources or more with nothing to show for it .I don't see it happening for the reasons I listed, but I would do it for a 2nd. The 30m is just the going rate. I don't see Brandon coming here and then walking away from Jayden and Peters.

thats true , BA is going to pay the market as will Tee . wait till FA , pay the 30 mil with the roll over cap . you are paying top end for wrs now when in a few years they will be a dime a dozenany decent lawyer/agent would not allow that anyway.
the 49ers can get a 3rd rounder without doing a thing so why take a day 3 pickthen its a huge risk b/c the player could want to hit FA for a huge pay day like KC. I see that the draft pick gets his rights to be here in 2024 but if no deal can be made then we waste a draft pick. That draft pick would have to be a day 3 pick to see if we can sign him for a long term deal here.

pro athletes pay will only increase anyway.qbs will never be the least paid.thats true , BA is going to pay the market as will Tee . wait till FA , pay the 30 mil with the roll over cap . you are paying top end for wrs now when in a few years they will be a dime a dozen

Then move to another player , he has already been tagged a 2nd one will cost a fortune . The 49ers aren’t taking a day 3 pick when they can do nothing and get a day 2 onethe draft pick guarantees his rights for 2024 and try to do a long term deal with him this year. Sure, we can wait to FA but we could get outbid by another team and lose the player. This is why the draft pick has to be a day 3 pick
They aren’t worried about cap space this year ,they are going for a bowl babyfree up cap space, the 49ers could get players and draft picks from us. What if BA holds out cand causes a distraction to the team?
