Him calling Jayden and filming it seems like partially a negotiation tactic, but he has history with the QB and the GM. It's also not lost on me that we have the money to pay him what he wants. Probably another reason why we are on his radar.

Peters wouldn't have taken part in some public FaceTime the way Jayden did. Jayden and Aiyuk are actually best friends. Peters could get hit with a tampering charge for even talking with Aiyuk. Aiyuk wanted the 49ers to see that video.

There is that for sure. No doubt. A bunch of good teams are paying two wide receivers right now though.

Letting Sweat go, which I'm still kinda iffy about, sets you up to make moves like this. Still, don't see it.

why ? simply wait till fa and save the picks and the roll over cap , we arent going anywhere this year . we arent winning a superbowl with BA this year . why take the chance and blow the draft pick and possibly lose the player too . then you are down 2 resources or more with nothing to show for it .
