Perhaps, Adam Peters is as smart as advertised and is allowing the market determine a lowered cost to acquire him, knowing that BA wanted to play here or in Pittsburgh. While there are reports that the Steelers are making serious moves, don't be surprised if there's a near future headline... "In a surprise move, Washington lands Aiyuk"

I'm holding out hope. Aiyuk basically has a no trade clause. I do not want to trade our #1, McLaurin, or Dotson. You could probably talk me into a 2025 #2 and a 2026 #3, but even that feels steep at the moment.

You gotta think Peters is at least monitoring the situation. It's gotten real quiet from all the sources I usually pull from. Makes me feel like something is real close to getting done with Pittsburgh or someone.

If Peters doesn't want Aiyuk, that says a lot too. He tried during the draft. 49ers have to be asking for McLaurin.

I'm almost certain that AP is monitoring developments, but McLaurin and the 1st (and possibly the 2nd) round pick are off of the table.

My trade scenario is still a viable one, hopefully, it works out.

Cuz the Steelers always pick late.

49ers got things done with the Pats and Browns but then it was Aiyuk who wasn’t happy about the deal.

My guess: he puts up 1300 yards and 8 TDs for the 49ers this year and gets his paycheck from somebody else next year.

None of us knows what is happening completely. Aiyuk took this to the media and social media making in an effort to leverage his position. IMO this is not very smart. Team guys work out there issues with the FO and their agent. One reason I did not want Aiyuk is because of this behavior. Bottom line in Aiyuk is under contract so he can play this season out and then go into free agency.

Higgins also wants a new contract but for the most part has not played all these games. I would be more interested in Higgins in part because he has not created a scene.
