Looks like this is the debunk of the Prescott / Watson trades. Didn't even know they were talking Watson, which would have made this even more obvious than it was.

I'm now seeing rumors about Cousins being in Cleveland..... And I can't stop laughing.

Oof. I tried to convince myself that Cousins could be a decent fit in Pgh, but then I realized just how low the bar is.

Cousins would probably only last a month in the AFCN before hitting IR.

This is facts. You have to be made of "steel" to survive this division (see what I did there *wink* haha). Toughest in football.

Russ Wilson couldn't even survive pushing a padded football sled in camp without putting himself out 6 weeks.

Meh. The Eagles dominated the line of scrimmage in all 4 contests against this division last year. Just because the OL play in this division is garbage it doesn’t make them some defensive juggernaut.

You can think what you want, but regardless of your defensive line and offensive line, there is no division that hits harder than the AFC North. All 4 teams play with bad intentions against one another.

I am not taking anything away from the World Champion Eagles, I am just saying a division as a whole, there is no division in football that hits harder than the AFC North.

I don’t even know how one would measure or quantify something like this. Sounds like Fan Boi stuff to me. That’s really what my point was. The timing also seemed odd to me as I just saw my team wipe their ass with the entire division and was 4 for 4 getting the better of the physical play. Shit, if your team played with more physicality in 2024 they would have likely been a playoff team.

Don't think it was toughness that hurt the Bengals. Defensive coaching and lack of overall play did. Can't be physical when your DC doesn't put guys in the right spots to make plays, or refuses to adapt to his players, or continues to play guys who are not better than those behind them...but I digress.

I think as a division overall is the point, not the Bengals specifically. You're talking about the Ravens and Steelers, mostly, who have long histories of being top flight defenses known for their toughness. Cleveland also doesn't have a bad defense, and in some stretches with guys like Spikes, Simmons, Atkins, Burfict, etc...the Bengals have had a few defenses to fit the AFCN mold. I think that was likely the overall point - wasn't a specific team, but as a division whole.

I just want to see Rogers throw Tomlin under the bus after the collapse.
Can't wait for the first day of training camp when Mike tries to tell him he can't throw over the middle.

Get your popcorn ready.

Can't argue with the results from last year - You are correct. But it's funny how much things can change in one season. Last year at this time people questioned how Philly would fix its underperforming D and they were coming off a season where they were pushed across the field by some offenses that had no business pushing them around.

In general with the AFC-N you can count on organizational excellence with Pittsburgh and Baltimore and a reputation based mostly on physicality and defense. Those repuations have been earned...... But they don't always play out in a single season and results have varied more recently. I won't comment on my team or the other Ohio football team as we have our own reputations. LOL.
