Maybe. I obviously wouldn't know that.

Same here. It's just a guess. I keep in touch with family & friends back home in NE Ohio on a regular basis. I'm going by what they have told me. Local sport talk radio even before the signing of Watson didn't have many nice things to say about him.

He can play and belongs in the league there's no doubt about that. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up. I expect the Browns will have to eat some of his 18m for the upcoming season. Hopefully they can find someone willing to trade for him.

Didn't they trade up like 10 spots to get Bush? LOL

He hasn't reacted well to coming back from his ACL injury. Tentative and delayed play.

The 5th year would have been 10.5MM.

I hope he becomes the player he once was again, but I'm glad they won't tie up that kind of commitment on an uknown.

Packaged a 1st (20th pick in 2019), 2nd (52nd pick in 2019), and a 2020 3rd Rd pick.

He is a massive "what if" story. Played like an all-pro ready to dominate the league then tears up his ACL and looks nothing like before the injury. He simply hasn't played like a $10m LB since coming back. If he proves himself then he'll become a big fish in FA next year.

Sucks to hear that happen to player but it's always good to hear when it happens to a rival. He will be a good pickup for some team

In fairness we all know Steeler fan see Trubisky as a temp anyway. It's not like you all are staring lovingly into his eyes planning a future together.
I wish I could say yes... Definitely not on here, but elsewhere the vast majority thought Trubisky was going to be a long term solution.

The injury shell-shocked him. He still had great burst & quickness, but it seemed like he was always delayed in reaction. The fans joked about his controller becoming unplugged a lot last season. So much that eventually videos started surfacing.

And a lot of titty fighting.

Find offensive blocker, engage until end of play, repeat.

I'm guessing he might retire unless he goes for to a contending team on a one year deal for a SB run

Even in decline he was still one of the best CBs the Steelers had last season. Still serviceable & any team would benefit from having him.

Hard to believe the Bengals never host the Steelers in the opener. But here we go.
