Was getting ready to use a bad pun...I wouldn't...I just don't see the pro skill set in Manziel...Vick is definitely injury prone and his contract would reflect that...I would take Vick as a stop gap, and get a QB in the 2nd round that I wouldn't have to push out there next year...at least not in the beginning of the yr...you draft JM that high you have to play him.

I would rather keep Ponder over getting Vick, who says ya have to start JF right away and IF so...why not?

I may have to take back my statement that Minnesota could make the playoffs with Michael Vick because I forgot Jarded Allen is a free agent. Their talent level on defense has really taken a downward turn since 2012. Probably because of the decline in Kevin Williams' play & the retirement of Antoine Winfield.

John Butler was right about Vick during his draft year. Nothing has changed. Vick isn't going to lead any team to the promised land, certainly not the Vikings.

What is the point of having a criminal justice system if we cannot rehabilitate criminals after they truly pay their debts AND show legitimate remorse?

Vick paid his debt to society and then some... He lives a life of remorse and reflection everyday now.
He spent 2 years in prison and lost 100 million dollars.

He still to this day is a dog activist.
He volunteers countless hours in educating others through the story of his own mistakes.
His visibility and efforts with animal welfare probably does more positive things for animal welfare than his stupidity in the past did negative things.

Plus, he is a model teammate. He never complains. He is a leader.
When Riley Cooper made an ass of himself, Vick was the first guy to forgive him and work with Cooper to bridge the lockeroom chasm he created.

The Vikes will draft a QB, most likely in the 2nd round(Mettenberger..).. Vick would do fine as a stopgap here, good line in front, good RB, WR's and TE. The only question is, can he stay healthy for a whole season? Is it worth the risk of him completing the season, for the salary he'll get?

Disagree completely, for now. The Vikings have to fix up their offensive line, Vick is already susceptible to injury, they have to fix that line to even make Vick a viable season long option.

One of the biggest issues with Vick is he's a turnover machine, the Vikes need to be safe at quarterback. They just can't have a guy who will give the football up with Adrian Peterson in the backfield controlling the game.

The line is pretty good. They could use upgrade at guard, but Center and Tackles are among best in the game, easily best in the Norse..

I think the Vikings would be a good fit for Vick, if he can stay healthy.

He also thought the NFL was treating players like slaves.....Not the brightest bulb in the box for sure....
Vick is a good backup qb, and everyone but AP seems to know that, someone get that boy the memo...

Well, the only one on the roster is ponder..So yeah, Vick easily beats him out.
It sounds like they want Cassel back, but they'll have to wait until next week to see what kind of attention he gets.
If they could wait until next season, they might be able to pick up Flacco pretty cheap..;-)
