Well no one is ever going to confuse him for Charles Barkley certainly. But KD was a rail when he entered the league and bulked up enough to at least hold his ground on the court.

This.

I would have preferred keeping Ingram and trading Kuz. But, we did what we had to do to make it happen!!!!

This is a better trade for the Lakers than the Pelicans. The lakers now have a 26 year old elite level all star whom will be good for the next 10 years and now have made the lakers a more attractive destination for free agents.

Welp the Lakers are great again they will soon sign veteran players on the vet minimum contract like they did in Miami If Kyrie was smart he should take a pay cut to go play there or take whatever they were going to offer Kemba. The lakers are probably the best team in the west right now with the golden state warriors facing all these injuries.

2 of those first rounds picks arent going to mean anything, Morant and Barrett will be off the board by the 4th pick so idk who they will draft they better make it count. I also dont see Lonzo or Ingram staying in NO when they contracts are up

I just don’t see how Griffin could ever be criticized for this trade. 3 firsts with one being the 4 this year? No brainer.

I don't think he had many other viable options either.

Knicks and Celtics weren't willing to step up to the table and make big offers.

Kiz fits better for 2 big reasons.

1) he is the better 3 point shooter
2) he makes a lot less $ and gives the Lakers more cap space

An aging Labron, AD (for 1 season) and a roster of D league players doesn't equal a title. AD goes FA, Labron retires (or just fakes an injury after next season) and with no draft picks the Lakers win 15-20 games for the following 8 seasons.

Nice way to run a franchise.

Lebron James will be 35 in December.

And he'll still be a top 5 player in the league.

In fact, the Lakers will have two top 5 players next season. And probably get a top 15 player in free agency to join them

You're magnanimous in victory toward the Pel's.

Personally, I think Ingram is fool's good... which colors my take on the trade.

Ingram is a poor man's Durant... which is not as cool as it might sound. In order to make ISO ball work in today's game, you need the absolute top ISO performer(s)... a Durant, a Harden: that level... and Ingram is not at that level nor is he ever going to be at that level.

That's JMO... my take on him.
Who cares?, He isnt the Lakers problem any more

If Lebron or AD get hurt they aren't even an 8th seed tho

Pretty big gamble

Danny has to pull one of those San Antonio sized JACK RABBITS out of his hat to fix this cockup.

Hoarding assets for what?

Butler, Brown and Kawhi were available and he played chicken with his assets.

Good for Griffin.

Ainge must have really believed they wouldn't deal him to the Lakers.

Ainge is starting to look like ass as a GM. Brooklyn is about to surpass Boston as a team, and they were fleeced out of draft assets by Ainge about 5 years ago. Ainge should be on the hot seat. He needs to take a page out of Ujiri's playbook and start gambling.

LeBron is a freak, but he does have the most miles for anyone in the history of the game for his age. No college, tons of long playoff series, and more international games than they used to play. I still think his skills are just about as good as they have ever been- but injury and rest are the prime concerns at this point. Also conserving energy more than he has before on the defnsive side- and ill tell ya- even a few years ago he was heavily conserving energy on the defensive side. Then he went and put a few more 100 game seasons on his odometer.

That is likely how it turns out, but they had no other options, nothing to lose at this point. Their last years team was one of the worst in the league, so it can't be any worse off.

I will change my opinion if they land someone else, but as is they still aren't a championship team
