Since 2000 Oregon State football has finished ranked five times and one of those finished #4 in the country-. Let me know when Chattanooga - Mercer and the Citadels of the world the SEC plays do that. Heck throw in Duke , Mississippi State, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
Oregon State in this time had players like TJ Houshmandzadeh, Chad Johnson, Stephen Jackson, Derek Anderson, Nick Barnett, Brandon Cooks;

Princeton has more National Championships than USC...that's equally relevant to the discussion of current Oregon State. Oregon State has 3 wins in 2 years and two of them are over winless FCS teams. To that they are going to add the worst in the Pac recruiting class with less than 20 recruits. should be awesome. As shitty as the Pac has been OOC you guys should be penalized for playing 9 conference games, not rewarded.

Sure, but pretending Duke went out and scheduled them on their own is disingenuous. It is what it is I suppose.
Don’t matter who schedule ND for them if they still play them. They still scheduled Bama knowing they have ND the same year

Shaws been there long enough to have plenty of say in what kind of out of conference games they play. They already play Notre Dame every year now so he could play two San Jose States and be done with it but he scheduled Northwestern.

Oh ok, insider info. Nice bro!

LOL. Im going back to 2000 not the 1920s and none of those SEC schools I mentioned have finished ranked more times than Oregon state fro 2000 to 2018. Which means while Oregon state has sucked recently those SEC teams have sucked the whole time. Add the fact that you pussies also regualry schedule Mercer and Chattanooga and the Citadel it's amazing these teams still couldn't find a way to being ranked at the end of the season.
And lets not get into how some SEC teams have not even played other SEC teams who joined the conference six years ago. LOL

Let me guess, the AD at Ohio State never talked to Urban about who he was going to schedule in OOC scheduling. Saban never has any clue who will be signed before they are signed.

Whats funny is every SEC honk goes straight to Oregon State when arguing about scheduling at the PAC. As if every team plays Oregon State every year. The way they tell it every PAC team plays Oregon State twice every year. They wont tell you is that SEC scheduling is so wacky that Georgia has yet to play Texas A&M since they joined the SEC six seasons ago. How do you not play a team in your conference once in six seasons? LOL

Well is it any different than when PAC fans throw back Vanderbilt or Kentucky?

Let me know when you need more basic football knowledge.

You guys are so hopelessly naive to job duties and how the system works. Schedules are made years in advance, most of the time knowing the coaching situation could be very different when the games are played. It's a tough ass juggling act and takes extensive time and maneuvering to plan. If you think AD's are preoccupying coaches in helping make schedules with everything else that is on that coach's plate, asking permissions each time they find an agreeable OOC opponent, then you guys are fucktards. Sorry. It's that simple. There's also financial impacts to each and every game that must be considered, and that falls on the AD's lap, not Saban or Urban's of the world. Maybe every once and awhile an AD will float the timing of an OOC game when stacked with another big opponent the following week, but for the most part the AD will pick and choose and the coaches will follow suit with whomever is put on the schedule. I lived next door to the AD at VT for a long time, he'd come over for beers all the time and talk future scheduling as he knew we were B1G folk. Never once did he bring up Frank Beamer's input to games he was trying to schedule.

They scheduled UCF in 2014
Stanford and UCF announce home-and-home series

after the 2013 season were UCF went 12-1 and finished #12 in the coaches poll.
Home and home? Against a smaller program across the country? Very un SEC of Stanford. Yeah it's not a recipe for success for getting a playoff spot because you could ruin your season. But it's great for football fans. I'm sure Citadel at home could have been an option.

Huh?

Stanford wishes they drew UCF's attendance.

Stanford plays in a 50K seat stadium. Their Home attendance
this year was...42,856 (USC), 40,913, 31,722, 37,244, 39,561
and 34,671.

UCF plays in a 45K seat venue. Their Home attendance this season
was...47,795 Cincy, 45,176 Memphis, 44,738 Navy, 44,904 Pitt,
44,257 FAU, 43,269 So Car St, 41,153 Temple and 40,856 SMU.

They just want their players to experience playing in a stadium
where the fans are not disguised as empty seats.

Get with the times socal. Just because you are in the same conference with another school doesn't mean you need to play them very often...if at all. These modern times deserve a different way of thinking man.

Doesn't matter anymore. (May not ever have at Stanford.) Only TV revenue matters...stadiums can be completely emtpy as long as the TV money keeps rolling in.

AKA I logic the fuck out of you and you have nothing more to add.

You threw logic out the window if you think a coach like Saban has no control or say into who the Alabama AD sets up for his out of conference games. You live in bizzaro world if you don't think he gets the final say.

And you know Saban gets the final word how again?

Because I'm not as clueless as you.
I'd love to live in your make believe world for a day . It would be like Christmas day when the Bama AD hands Saban the schedule for the upcoming season and Saban looks at it and yells "Yessss" . He's so relieved when he sees The Citadel in his late November slot . He was hoping it didn't say @Ohio State because it could happen here in the land of rainbow butterfly unicorn kittens..

The only one living in make believe world is the guy who thinks coaches are responsible in helping AD's schedule OOC games. You literally have no clue all the variables that come into play when making schedules years in advance such as balancing level of competition, location, agreeability to opponents schedules, conference play, and financial contracts. If you think for a second that a head coach is involved in that shit given their job load then you my friend are dumber than I thought.
