The 1st game was played in 2015 when UCF was the worst team in the FBS. The series was scheduled somewhere in 2012/2013 when UCF was still pretty good.

And? Middle Tennessee is still a scrappy team and two of those teams will likely be favored to be in the discussion for a playoff birth. If I had Bama and Notre Dame I’d schedule North Technical School for the Deaf and Blind too.

Northwestern will not be ranked by the end of the year, UCF will be going on a 3rd go round in conference for being unbeaten, if I were betting I’d bet they get scuffed up and are sitting at the back end of the top 25 by the end. Good, yes, better than playing a power house in Bama and Notre Dame? Nah. Plus Pac 12 isn’t all that impressive.

South Carolina and Texas A&M both play Clemson. Duke plays Bama. Those single games alone make their OOCs tougher.
