One of those was in a blizzard. And in the 2 starts before his past 2 starts vs. NYY his ERA was 1.78.

I'm guessing he'll get four chances to make those last 2 a distant memory between now and October.

I am surprised Price's ERA is that high vs NY overall. The only time I remember the Yankees getting to him in a Rays uni was the Jeter 3000 hit game.

Nova seems to be one of those pitchers that is never lights out, but gets a lot of support. Like Chein Ming Wang.

If memory serves correct the Yanks lit up Price pretty good earlier this year. Not sure of the exact line on him though.

He was in a Tigers uniform. The Yankees lit him up both times they faced him in a Tigers uni. I said the only time I can remember while he was with the Rays.

Price was great yesterday, let's see how he does for the rest of it. If the Blue Jays keep up their recent effort they're a playoff team and may even catch the Yankees for 1st.

Yankees placed OF/INF Dustin Ackley on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 3, with a right lumbar strain.

Ackley was acquired from the Mariners last week and was a potential threat for playing time at second base, but that will have to wait for now. The Yankees called up right-hander Caleb Cotham to take his place on the active roster.

Pretty similar to Gordon Beckham. He also started his career on a high note and has been mediocre since.

A power for speed swap of Reyes for Tulo is almost a wash, so major acquisition I dont think so- Reyes was often a thorn for NY, glad to see him go. Price gets beat by the Yanks regularly, so no harm there. That said, NY has yet to figure out how to beat the Jays this year.

One thing fans know for sure is regardless how this series turns out the Jays will leave the Bronx no better than 2nd place in the AL East.

The early season match up means nothing. Yankees are clearly a different/better team than they were on the opening week of the season & in the first week of may

Need to win tomorrow. Today game bothered me but last night did not. You could tell Girardi was fighting with the decision to keep in Nova with the bases loaded. He should have went with his gut and went to Warren.

This is the first time the Yanks lost a series since the end of June vs the Angels.

Anyway if the Yanks win tomorrow this series won't bother me too much as we will still be up 5 in all the important loss column.

17 runs on a six game home stand is not good and when you throw in that 13 of them came in the first game it gets worse.

They picked a bad time to go in it too.
