Granted, he shouldn't be falling off like he has been. Seems like there's a good chance he's hurt.

Verlander's K% and K-BB% rankings:

2009: 2nd/3rd
2010: 12/14
2011: 5/4
2012: 5/5
2013: 15/23
2014: 80/90

This and velocity drop is more concerning to me than ERA. WHich I found funny a Royal/Red Sox and Yankee fan argued over...while no Tiger fan defended. (disclaimer Dougie don't count, blatant homerism)
He is in obvious decline or has small injury or has not recovered 100% from getting some Upton nightly:noidea:

Yordano, Robin or Jesse? (It'd better not be Jesse...)

Robin. Left Sale in to start the 8th and the Angels scored 6 runs. Trout hit a grand slam.

Top 4 hitters with the Royals, .257 high with .235 low...bottom 4 (lets just give up on Moose) .333 high with .270 low...even with moose the bottom 5 still has a collective BA thats higher.

I knew Infante was a waste at 8 mil but .235 ...Aoki at 2 mil .256 fine...Hosmer is super cheap fine...Butler 8 or 12 mil at .250 WTF...

Royals need a new batting order after 200 abs..if it were 50 or 100 whatever but 200 its time to pull the plug

Cain
Escobar
Gordon
Perez
Hosmer
Butler
Infante
Moose
Aoki

Aoki actually has an OBP near 400 against LHP's, Dabums. It's the AB's vs RHP's that drive people crazy. Cain should bat 2nd, imo. Dyson at leadoff vs RHP. Rest of the lineup is mostly stuck.

Gordon probably should bat 3rd though.

well, you see twice as many ABs against RH SPs, don't get all Yostish.

Cain can lead off and I will take the .384 OBP against righties and live with the .345 against lefties.
Escobar doesn't lead off well but hits in the 2 hole very well, much better wheels up top now.
Gordon most likely should be the number 3 for years now.
Perez more consistant and more power
Hosmer/Butler doesn't matter but Yost will do his R/L/R/L thing

Putting Aoki last would be like having another leadoff man, well against lefties.

Have to try something at this point with Aoki.
