You know. That walmart wolverine is so true. My wife is from chicago and thought it was a joke. When we went back to michigan we went into a walmart. They had a whole aisle of michigan crap. Not one sparty thing. If you go to meijers, you see about the same of um sparty and the detroit teams.

I guess most trailer park trash shops at walmart and can afford that 7.99 yellow pleather um jacket.

Whew. The Tigers survived another dandy of an outing by Nathan yesterday.

The local sports radio station was taking Joe Nathan nickname suggestions today. My favorite was "The Joe-ller Coaster" (in honor of Todd "Roller Coaster" Jones).

Another suggested that the Tigers open a food booth at the CoPa called "Nathan's Famous Meatballs" (a la Nathan's Famous hot dogs).

Laker, I honestly don't think there has been a Great team in MLB for awhile now. There may be 10-12 Great players in the game, but not really any teams. 5, 6, or 7 franchises at the top, with consistantly very good clubs season to season.

Great is subjective. If you said elite, I would agree. It depends on your definition of great. My original post was to explain why the are so many homer tiger bandwagon fans atm, and its because of the tigers success the past eight years. I should have known the notorious tigers hater da bums would nitpick on something that had nothing to do with my point. Hes like the police of the boards. If any poster says anything that might be construed as positive about the tigers he feels the need to police it and convince everyone the tigers suck. Its humourous I suppose when you are in middle school.

I moved to chicago the summer of 06. At the start of the year nobody cared about the tigers except dedicated tiger fans. Even my lil brother always liked the yanks. I remember the playoffs every year it was root for whoever was playing the yanks. And just wishing detroit could play 500 ball. When i came back that yr during the postseason EVERYONE loved the tigers. Remember going to a bar and everyone had tiger hats on and they were selling beer in tiger glasses for an xtra few bucks. Even my boys in the hood, who didnt even like baseball were wearing hats and trying to tell me why the tigers lost the WS.
