tigers whooping on the REDS. I think the whole state of ohio has won 1 game Vs the tigers this year.
most ohio teams fear any michigam team. I can think of a team from Columbus that is sgaking with fear over jimbo harbaugh!

I would expect Tex fans have more votes than KC fans but hey computers aren't for everyone.

You don't find it just a little bit embarrassing ? I know I would if it were the Tigers fans and the likes of Castellanos & Avila were voted in as starters. What's the general feeling about it around there ?

Went in stages

1. Surprise

2. Criticism

3. Sarcastic #VoteOmar and #VoteRios campaigns start on the radio stations/twitter. A lot of twitter accounts begging people to NOT vote for Rios or Omar. Other people from other fanbases join along (I kid you not) to bolster the farce. Usually hardline anti-fanvote types.

4. Internet/Fanbase votes straight Royals as a running joke in response to criticism.

5. Repeat 2 and 4 ad nausuem until you succeed in imploding the whole game

I think it's ridiculous, but hey, if it forces MLB to do something to make the ASG better, it won't be for nothing I suppose. Something like this was inevitable down the line when MLB went to a strictly online ballot; just surprised it was a small market, let alone the Royals. Not sure how the Royals have managed to garner 10 times their home market's media market population, but it is what it is I guess. May as well make the most of it.

some fan bases have some thing the royal fan base doesn't...CLASS.
who really cares? not going to set at PC like a 14 year kid and vote for 20 hours.
this will back fire Hosmer will take a lot of heat. might affect his head rest of season.
they should get rid of ASG. pro bowl to. most players don't want to play in it, inter league has made it boring

Lmao effect his head...

It's obviously not royals fans at fault here with this many votes. Baseball fans as a whole are to blame. Royals just reap the benefits.

Personally -- I think they should let all the KC players start the all-star game. Then after one pitch -- I would pull them all out in the middle of the 1st inning, unless they are truly the best option for the AL.

Fat chance of that with Yost managing.

I wonder how many Royals have ASG bonuses in their contracts?

Hopefully not any pitchers....

this is a great deal for the TIGERS.
now royals starters will have to answer questions about the voting. they wont be able to shake it.
it can only fester and cause problems for them.

me...its no big deal haven't cared about the ASG since I got my 1st pubic hair.
ASG has lost its luster. thanks to inter league play. not complaining. only 2 other teams have won more inter league games than the tigers..and only by 2 games

Castellanos is 3rd and Avila is 5th, that's pretty bad as well. Its just gotten funny that Infante and Rios have that many votes.

The general feeling around KC is pretty much that, everyone else has the same opportunity to vote, 29 other markets which 26 of them are bigger than KC, as well as anyone in the world. This just isn't KC fans voting, not even close. Not much KC fans can do, most baseball fans that I run around with have only voted Perez, Hosmer, Moose and Cain, some throw in Gordon mainly for Defensive reasons and/or Esky for the same thing. Nobody I know as voted for Infante or Rios at all.

I think the option of select team to highlight on the ballet is not needed and shouldn't be there, it encourages a complete team vote.

I am voting for Infante and Rios now just for the absurdity of it all now. MLB might even be forced to tweak the process for the better.
