Ya know, honestly I'd love to see the fans show MLB how ridiculous this whole thing is. Let them vote in a starting lineup for both teams of guys like Chirinos, Rayburn, Seager... Etc.

You are dead-on. Can't complain if the Tigers, Yankees, etc. fan bases aren't voting. It's just that I thought KC fan was a little SMARTER than this, but perhaps I gave them too much credit. I can think of nothing more fitting than for the Royals to get back to the World Series, and find that they screwed themselves out of home field with this asinine ASG lineup.

I have went on record on this site talking about how much respect I have for the KC fan base and their knowledge of the game, after what they did for Miggy during his triple crown. After seeing this play out -- I think I may have jumped the gun.

Personally -- I think they should let all the KC players start the all-star game. Then after one pitch -- I would pull them all out in the middle of the 1st inning, unless they are truly the best option for the AL.

Your opinion I suppose. I despise the farce that has been the ASG for quite some time now. I therefore, have no qualms about making it as outlandish and ridiculous as possible if it gets MLB's attention. Garfinkling has value as well in this instance, imo. Not sure where all these people are coming from, as I have said, the votes for KC is over 10 times its population. It's pretty unlikely they are all homers.
