The 4-0 start may seem a little premature to get happy about but at the end of the season if Detoit wins the Central by 1-2 game then every win meant something.

The Twinkies will get better. I doubt they are ready to contend but they will compete. Can't see Santana being this bad all season. Glad Detroit got them while they are down.

I liked what I saw from Greene and think he will be a better #4 than Porcello would have been. Also seen that Boston didn't waste any time in locking up Porcello, thought that was a little early to give him an extension but hey it's not my money.

Every game means something. When you look at a 91-71 record, you can't tell which wins came in April or which came in September.

So, watching the Tribe game today with my dad. He tells me he doesn't really care about baseball and he only went to card shows and ballgames because I was big on it.

Now, I am 38 and I haven't been to a ball game or card show with my dad in over 20 years, but damn that stung. I equate this to finding out Santa Claus is not real. Its like, why did you go to all of those games if you didn't care?

Sorry, I needed to vent and I figured you guys could relate.

He did. He cared about you.

Every game means something. When you look at a 91-71 record, you can't tell which wins came in April or which came in September.

That's kind of the way I look at it. It's 6 wins we don't have to get in September. And with the ALC decided by 1 game in both 2013 and 2014, every win is going to be meaningful.

Pretty ugly series for pitching in Cleveland. 8-4, 9-6, 8-5. Simon was figured out after two times through the order. Price struggled with his control, then made the crucial error on a sure double-play ball and couldn't get through 7. Saturday's game on the whole was a chore to watch. Seemed like every batter on both teams got to a 3-ball count. 4 hours, 16 minutes to play a 9-inning game. On Sunday, Lobstein topped out at 87 on his fastball, walked too many, and was lucky to get out of some jams on a few very good defensive plays. The Tiger bullpen was unimpressive in the series.

Fortunately, for every bad outing by a Tiger pitcher, there was a Cleveland pitcher who was worse. Of course the Tiger lineup had something to do with that.

Nicky C will have his soph slump, like most every player does have that season that pitchers talk about his out pitch to everyone in the league, its how he does in year 3. I know Tigers fans are used to buying players past their early seasons and might not understand rookies, 2nd year and 3 year guys.

Waive your dick if your team is on pace to lose 0 games this year

162 -0 would be on the list on unbreakable records.

Rios with a fracture in his left hand. Exactly the guy I didn't want to see that with. Can pitchers please try to throw the little white ball over the big white thing? Pretty please? I guess we'll see more of Orlando and Dyson now.

Castellanos did indeed suck. But Ausmus is an IDIOT. Bases loaded, no outs in the 7th, Pirates bring in an RHP to face the RH batting (and cold as ice right now) Castellanos. Ass-munch leaves his switch-hitting 2014 MVP runner-up (V-mart) on the bench. After the DP, he then pinch-hits V-mart for the LH-batting Avila. WTF?????!!!!!

Carrasco just got hit in the face... Nothing going right for the Tribe so far this season.

if it isn't a broken jaw I don't know what happened because he was holding the opposite side of the face from where he got hit
