with all the crap that has gone on for year, The Royals and Tigers are the best teams in the Majors right now, hitting/pitching..whatever, it would be a BLAST for this to continue.

Moustakas has 10 of his 11 hits so far defined as opposite field (left)

Moustakas had 17 hits all to left all of last year.

There isn't much doubt if the Tigers pitch like this they will win the division. Considering its only 5% of the season going to hold off on playoff tickets yet. 8-1 start is still great.

I'm with everyone on Joe Nathan. I was hoping they wouldn't bring him North, pay him to go away, anything. He won't be any better this year. His fastball is gone and he's not getting it back. He couldn't get guys to just swing and miss last year; teams were dying to hit against him. A healthy Soria is a much better option at closer.

Yes it would be. It may come down to who stays healthy, but so far so good.

We knew the Tigers had the lineup to put up some big numbers on the scoreboard, but they showed the last two nights that they can win some low-scoring games, too. Great pitching and defense both games. A page out of the 2014 Royals' book.

Yeah, it's $10 million down the toi-lette, but it ain't my money, so I say leave him DL'd all year. Compounding things last season, he couldn't throw his slider for strikes. Hitters were just sitting on that fastball that now barely cracks 90, and killing it.

Believe it or not, there is a team option on Nathan for a 3rd year. I think we can safely say that won't be exercised.

Until Soria does something wrong, there is zero reason to take him out of the closer role.
