There were a lot of teams that disappointed this year. Boston, Detroit, Cleveland (for most, I expected nothing less from this ownership group), Washington, San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco and Baltimore. Honestly, it was a pretty crazy season.

The facts are the facts though... higher payroll clubs have less losing seasons... There is a reason why the teams in the top ten in payroll have all been to a the playoffs recently or are going to the playoffs this year... You can argue all you want.. but low payroll teams beat the odds every time they make it... its not the norm.

Plenty of the sites you posted had predictions of Det making the post season (which puts them in contention)...WC teams have won WS, so you make the post season, you are a contender.
