Well.... Dayton Moore wouldn't agree.Completely agree, Royals didn't accomplish their goal, everyone on the team would agree. Nice run but fell short, in their case 90 feet.

The Tigers ability to sign 60 mil worth of free agents will save them...
yeah, nobody overspends on FA's errrr Simon, Nathan
I am going to come here tell you all about how I predicted the Royals will fail when they do... He is right about that.
Oh Iffy... can you tell us all how the Tigers are one of the three biggest messes in the MLB? Would love to hear this one...
Biggest mess implies its not just a one season down year... which it easily could be. Injuries to Verlander, Victor Martinez, Cabrera, Nathan, and Sanchez surely had a lot to do with the fact they were sellers at the trade deadline... And if they didn't sell.. their record would be much better than it is right now. Texas is a prime example of a big payroll team that had injuries last year and then bouncing back the next year... The Tigers can easily do the same. It can be argued that even Greene was injured as he was having nerve issues that made his fingers go numb which certainly could have caused him to go from lights out to hittable.um predicted to win division and be a WS contenter, finished last in their division all while having the best hitter the last decade, 2 cy young pitchers and 170m payroll...yeah, them and Seattle contend as the biggest fails of the 2015 season.
Its really not a tough question.
Its really that funny? Verlander has not been on the DL before this year... neither has Cabrera. Vmart will have a year since his knee surgery... Sanchez is the only one with a real injury history... The only player out of that group that is older than 33 is Victor Martinez... its not like they are old. The team actually has one of the youngest lineups in the MLB.

As much as you want it not to be.. Detroit is in better position to improve themselves next year compared to KC. They have the resources and flexibility to do so. Nobody had Detroit as a WS contender this year.... you are crazy.. division maybe.. but there wasn't anyone that had Detroit as a WS favorite going into this spring. KC is dying a slow death caused by increased salaries and dwindling prospects to call up. Hosmer could EASILY be traded at the deadline next year if the Royals aren't contending.. because they CAN NOT afford him past 2016. The inevitable fire sale in KC is coming... its just a matter of if its at next years trade deadline or after the season is done in 2016...
Maybe the Twins can sign Nick Blackburn and Johan Santana this offseason to go with their signing of Tori Hunter... Heck... I think Morneau can be a free agent too.. might as well get the old squad together lol...
Yes, Tigers are a mess - there isn't a min years requirement dumbass. They spent $170m and got last place, they didn't spend that amount to "rebuild", that's a mess. The $170m tigers finishing last in the division when expected to contend is almost as bad as losing 119 with a shit team. Pretty sure that is the highest payroll team ever to finish in last place.
Tigers didn't die slowly, they just died.
2014- knocked out in 1st round
2015-in 3rd and under .500 when they "sold" weren't going to do anything before falling to 5rh
2015 team preview: The Detroit Tigers can still win the World Series
Dave Dombrowski expects Tigers to be contenders again in 2015
Just 2 of plenty that had Detroit and their $170m contending in 2015, hell even you said they were contenters guess that changed around 9 games out.
Miggy could be traded at the trade deadline as well next year if the Tigers suck again or Miggy's hitting starts to slide. Paying a guy MVP money to hit mid range numbers I guess is smart spending in your mind. Moustakas has more RBI's than Miggy, lol, still too funny not to repeat after you made such a big deal about Moose's rbi numbers. Shit changed when they moved him out of the 2 hole to the 6 hole didn't it, lol.
a few seasons ago it was Royals suck and will always suck, then it was Royals prospects are sucking and can't contend like they said, now its, well they will lose them they can't keep winning or afford anyone. Got ya, keep em coming the Royals just keep proving you wrong year after year. Like I keep saying, you can predict whatever you want, your track record speaks for itself-make enough "predictions" and your bound to be right at some point DougVice Sr.
Tigers payroll isn't 170 mil moron.. they traded away 3 of their highest paid guys at the trade deadline... Do the math on that one...lol, they even finished better than the $170m team. Looks like Tigers not being able to afford signing Tori was their downfall, lol.
