Hosmer bats .50 points higher with runners in scoring position than Moustakas... say what you want about no correlation.. but if there is no correlation.. why is there usually a difference from overall BA and BA with RISP?

Hosmer? Hosmer has a much more diverse skill set at the plate than Moustakas besides defense. That's been the common thought since Hosmer has been in A ball. One's a 1B though, the other is a 3B.

We are comparing a 3B to a 3B, no?

Hosmer has a wRC+ around 137 now, iirc. So yeah, pretty good. Moose is at 111.
Once again Moose.. we are not comparing defense or position.. we are comparing guys at the plate...it doesn't matter if a guy plays left field well or sucks at first base when he has a bat in his hand.

Small samples. Usually regresses over a longer sample. The Cardinals fans probably could tell you about it given they got absurdly fortunate in 2013, only to have the exact opposite happen the following year in 2014.

You keep saying there is no correlation to BA with RISP.... yet players BA with RISP isn't equal to their BA ever.. why is that? With many players its not even close...

That graph doesn't show any factors in the study. How long? How many at bats? It shows nothing to tell me how valid it is.

I guess HOF batters luck is better with runners not in scoring position.

You can say what ever you want.. but the only way BA with RISP is the same as regular at bats is if its robots pitching and batting.
