I don't see anyone with a straight line at the average....
It's from an article that comes to a conclusion that there isn't clutch. No stability doesn't mean there isn't a difference in batting with runners in scoring position and when they are not.... you are just seeing what you want.
No such thing as clutch, RBI are meaningless, Moustakas is amazing.. even with a rapidly declining BA.... I got it Moose.. Anything else you want to prove to me today?
I'd go even farther than that, Nava, but that's my cup of tea. It's not so much that there is no such thing as "clutch". It's that there's no proof that clutch performance is a repeatable skill.
Ventura was never ranked in the top 20 prospects in baseball. His highest ranking was #35. Norris is #18.
Wow... Royals are winning a series vs the Angels... and you had to go to the NL to find another playoff contender that they are winning the series against... LOL
Tigers are not eliminated from anything yet bums. If at the end of Aug the Royals division lead is only 5 or 6 games... I would not be so confident.
Slight correction... Ventura was ranked #26 by Baseball America. Baseball Prospectus ranked him #12. Baseball-Reference doesn't really do prospect rankings. They just list the rankings from various outlets.
Your point stands though. Also worth noting John Sickels had Ventura ranked as a B+/borderline A- prospect in his 2014 preseason rankings. And why "top 20"? Seems pretty arbitrary.
My Grandparents had a lot of quarrelation for 65+ years."quarrelation"
