(Plays an average shortstop would make by playing fundamentally sound defense.)Not sure if that altercation with McCann/Gose was over Iggy not bothering to look at first on a possible DP feed from Kinsler or what. You do realize its in Det best interest to lose every game for the rest of the season right? They are only 2 .5 games out of a top 10 draft pick.. which not only obviously helps them get a better prospect in the draft... but also protects them from losing their 1st rounder if they sign a free agent with a qualifying offer... which there is a good chance they will.

Detroit isn't winning this year.. but if the cards fall correctly.. they can easily reposition themselves for next year with close to 55 mil to spend on free agents after estimated arbitration raises. In a year loaded with quality free agent starters... Det can easily sign 2 of them AND a LFer... and still have room to spend on the pen or make trades to fill holes.

There is a positive quarrelation and a negative quarrelation. If your parents stayed together 65 years, their's was positive. A negative quarrelation would mean there is less likely a destructive fight.

Example: There is a high correlation between spending money on players and winning.
There is a low correlation between big player contracts and success.
