Skill is skill. Luck is luck. One is more valuable than the other.I call it not hitting at the same rate... you can call it random variance if it makes you feel better.

Obviously Moustakas was getting lucky.. because every stat you want to look at shows he is not as skilled of a hitter as he appeared the first 2 months of the season.Skill is skill. Luck is luck. One is more valuable than the other.
WOW! He's not a Miguel Cabrera caliber of hitter- the horror!!!Obviously Moustakas was getting lucky.. because every stat you want to look at shows he is not as skilled of a hitter as he appeared the first 2 months of the season.
Moustakas is closer to a Castellanos caliber of hitter. Compare their career offensive numbers. Castellanos is probably better.WOW! He's not a Miguel Cabrera caliber of hitter- the horror!!!
You're just a pseudo-intellectual version of Doug, so you're one to talk.I love how you are a combined stat nerd and royals homer that defends Moustakas... its very amusing to me.... you are like a stat geek version of doug.
Maybe, seperated by less than 3 wRC+.Moustakas is closer to a Castellanos caliber of hitter. Compare their career offensive numbers. Castellanos is probably better.
The sarcastic comparison? Good grief. You're completely delusional and lacking in reading comprehension. You don't see me unable to admit flaws in my favorite team.. you obviously can't if you are trying to defend Moustakas and attempting to compare him to Miggy Cabrera.
Offensive stats CLEARLY show Castellanos is superior to Mostoukas over the course of their careers... if you compare age to age... its not even close offensively.Maybe, seperated by less than 3 wRC+.
What seems more relevant is Nick Castellanos has been below replacement value his entire career. Moustakas has been above it his entire career. Just a slight difference...
I don't even look at your links... They are nothing more than stat geek jargon. If you think RBI is not an important stat... I could care less to read what you posted.I am still waiting on refutations on my links.
Within a MOE. A difference of 3 in career wRC+ is a ridiculous argument to make decisive statements regarding careers.Still waiting for stat comparision of C

Then this "debate" has long since entered a stage of ships sailing past each other. Still makes you look ridiculous for not even attempting to refute statistical data. Silence is deafening in this case...I don't even look at your links... They are nothing more than stat geek jargon. If you think RBI is not an important stat... My reading comprehension is actually quite fine... You and I both know that... You know quite well my intelligence is well above average. The sarcastic comparison? Good grief. You're completely delusional and lacking in reading comprehension.
Once again... I said compare offensive stats... which is what we were talking about.. talk about reading comprehension.Within a MOE. A difference of 3 in career wRC+ is a ridiculous argument to make decisive statements regarding careers.
Moustakas has a career fWAR around 7.5, Casty is at NEGATIVE 1.8.
If so, it's heavily diluted with arrogance so thick it presents itself as the skills of an idiot. My reading comprehension is actually quite fine... You and I both know that... You know quite well my intelligence is well above average.
There is nothing to refute with advanced metrics stat geeks... you can always find a stat for your argument. You never were able to give me the amount of teams that led the league in WAR that actually won the WS that year... its maybe 1 every 10 years...Then this "debate" has long since entered a stage of ships sailing past each other. Or if you prefer through 23...
3.6 to -1.8.
Again, this is asked an answered with the M.O.E. Ignoring the composite value is begging the question- the answer of which ends the debate of Casty vs Moose for the time being. My reading comprehension is actually quite fine... You and I both know that... You know quite well my intelligence is well above average.
Because it is a Red Herring argument not worth fiddling with. There is nothing to refute with advanced metrics stat geeks... you can always find a stat for your argument.
