I can't believe you can't just admit that Moustakas has a lower BA when runners are in scoring position... which has led to him leaving men on base and having a lower RBI total. I really can't believe you are so selective with the stats you look at. Its kind of funny really. Keep looking for a stat long enough and you will find one that shows what you want it to.

Guys that are so rooted in advanced stats, that don't know how to take in to consideration non trackable things like situational stress crack me up. Humans are not robots. Only a handful of guys can walk up to the plate and not be effected by the moment. There is no explanation why a closer that is not in a closing situation tends to give up more hits and runs through advanced stats. There is no explanation why throwing the 9th inning is harder than throwing the 6th.... All these things to a stat nerd are meaningless.. When in reality.. all you have to do is have played in those situations to understand.

You need to step away from the advanced stats moose... they can be very interesting to look at.. but they are still just a piece of the puzzle and do not show or explain everything.

I value repeatable skills. BA being one component of a larger picture. wOBA being much more important.

We have baseruns and run differential to sift out flukey teams. (Royals were 5th in baseruns prior to getting Cueto and Zobrist)

Anyone remember when Mike Moustakas had a BA of .350? LOL His stats are totally gross since June. My prediction of him ending up with a BA of around .250 was laughed at... nobody laughing now. Ventura SUCKS. He is Hochevar version 2.0. Moustakas SUCKS. Guys came back to reality. The last 2 months are going to expose the reality of the situation in KC. I'm so going to enjoy when Castellanos ends up with a higher BA, more HR, more RBI, more BB's, and more 3b's than Moustakas
