Still in the Wild Card race, I suppose. Tigers will need to take 3 out of 4 from the Twins to catch back up. Cleveland out of reach...

Unless my math is totally wrong- the Indians and Tigers each have 20 games left.....7 against each other.

The Tribe is currently 7 games head of the Tigers and 9 ahead of the Royals.

If the Tigers go 15-5 down the stretch- winning 75% of their games (they have won at a .535 clip all year), the Tribe would have to go 8-12 down the stretch for there to be a tie. If the Tigers go a more realistic 12-8 for the rest of the year, the Tribe would have to go 5-15 down the stretch to cough up their lead.

i'd take stafford on the Browns thats for sure. lol.

allthough- i guess id rather have the browns lose this year and be able to draft Watson who should have quite a ceiling.

Not only that- but the Browns get the Eagles pick- and the EAgles really suck....Browns will LIKELY have 2 top 5 picks next year. That should be fun. esepcially because it looks like this is the first regime that can draft with any kind of competency in years for the browns. We do own the Titans 2nd rounder too...so Browns will likely have 4 of the top 40 picks in next years draft.

Good news for doug however. Wolverines ranked #4. It appears that voters are impressed that Jimbo Khaki Pants and his kids can steamroll a couple of teams that would have a tough time beating the boys down at Floyd's barbershop.
Be careful doug....Colorado isn't a powerhouse...but they will put up a fight that Powder Puffs #1 and #2 didn't.

Not too many Wolverines in the NFL HOF. I think Dierdorf was the last. About 6 or 7 total. A lot of them from the old days. I don't think UM is really a gold mine for NFL players. You are exaggerating - again. BTW, I watched NE play yesterday. Without Brady, they only had ONE UM alumni on their team. Yep...the NFL is full of Wolverines.

Why not save the word "greatness" until Michigan actual beats a quality team this year. If they are as good as you claim...I think the Wolverines should enter the MSU game with a 7-0 record. What do you say? I will concede that Jimbo has a very good team if he is 7-0 when he faces the Spartans. Do you have the confidence to predict a 7-0 start?

Helping out doug here,,,,according to the Wolverine website, Michigan has 28 players on NFL rosters this year. That counts players on injured reserve and practice squads. Sadly, for doug, to get a better perspective on that number...a lesser football power, Rutgers, has 20.

Doug...I am not a big NFL fan, but I have noticed that in the past few years, the number of UM players taken in the higher draft rounds has been low. I don't know the numbers, but it appears that other (southern and California) schools are where a LOT of new, young NFL players are coming from.
