What the fuck are the Raiders doing? They follow up the retarded Khalil Mack trade by giving up a 5th for AJ?

Also why did Buffalo even sign AJ to begin with? They really think going into a season with Peterman/Allen under center with that trash o-line is a good plan?

Other than a young, high level starting QB there isn't a player in the league I'd pay 24 million dollars per year and give up multiple first round picks for in a trade.

Plus the Bears division is tough and the Mack trade doesn't make them better than the Vikings or Packers on paper. I wouldn't be shocked if the picks are fairly high.

I love the deal for The Raiders.

Classic NFL overvaluing draft picks over production. With any luck they’ll find the next Khalil Mack....oops

TBF, I’m not a huge fan of these top salaries for defensive players. But the objective of the draft is to acquire and lockup top talent.

The Raiders took Mack #5 overall, watched him become an All-Pro and DPOTY. Then traded because they didn’t want to pay him. Why bother accumulating draft picks if you’re not going to keep your good players.

I would take Mack over the picks. I'll take a ton of cap space to re-sign players and stay active in free agency plus the premium picks over Mack though.

To me the key is the Bears performance this year. If the Raiders end up high 1st picks with a franchise QB already on the roster they'll run the draft. Gruden gets to rebuild the roster the way he wants.
