Herrera could be the next Victorino for the Phillies. Vict was a rule 5 pick that gave us some solid years.
Now we have Herrera who is exciting to watch. He is our new leadoff guy who gets on base. He will take a walk and he hits well.
He can steal some bases and his fielding is improving in center. We have him cheap as well!
Galvez is a pleasant surprise at the plate so far. He drove in 2 key runs today. Asche looks like he will improve at the plate too. Giles has settled in as the setup man and Paps keeps saving games. Glimmers
are the only positives that we can expect. I will not lose total hope as long as these young players continue
to progress. The Phillies will still lose a ton of games this season but maybe we can build a nucleus for the future! Last but not least we have Franco,Nola and Crawford in the development stage!

It was worth sticking with Galvis for the last three years even though he seemed doomed to be a career .230 hitter but they kept calling him up and playing him. It's still early but it seems like it's paid off.

Even though Ruff has dwindled to .107, I would keep playing him another few weeks at least. It doesn't look good - 3 for 28 and 11 Ks (39%) but it could turn around, hopefully, since Brown will be back. So this is one interesting problem.
