find me any posts by seahawks fans on here who have said the seahawks are now a dynasty, and i'll agree with you on each and every one of them up to the supposed 75% you're dribbling on about.

you're a liar, pure and simple, and i'm sure you'll try to whine and bitch your way out of it now with feckless nonsense and bromides about "not having to prove" the absurdity of your statement.

This thread isn't calling the Hawks a dynasty. This thread is asking if you think the Hawks on a the verge of being a dynasty. I say yes. What say you?

"a dynasty is born in seattle" is what you titled your thread, no matter how you try to finagle your meaning, troll.

and no

too early for anything like that

we're barely ahead of one of our own division rivals

NO actual seahawks fan would say anything different. it's our city/state's first national championship of any kind. the word "dynasty" belong nowhere in our sports lexicon

Yes Seattle gets one more year on the cheap but then will have to pay and at $20,000,000 or more they wont be able to afford as many of the players they have.

So if you count a dynasty 2 years then maybe it is possible but after that who knows what the Seahawks will look like

FA always changes everything. Seattle has more than 2 years tho.

There were plenty of Dallas Cowboy fans who felt the same way right before they won three Super Bowls in the early 90's

Just enjoy the win! Seattle hasn't won anything in like 120 years and is consistently rated the #1 sports fail city in the USA each year. So be happy that crown is going to be taken by someone else.

You arguably aren't in that game without ref assistance against the Niners, the Cardinals were just as good in the second half of the season, and well...it's probably premature to say you'll even win the division again next year...much less use the term "Dynasty".

With the new league rules he can't get a new contract till after his 3rd year. So they still dont have to pay him for another year

Yea no shit thanks for pointing out what I already said. They are going to be paying him early

Again: nobody is calling SEA a dynasty. But a lot of people are looking at SEA like it is on the verge of a becoming a dynasty. Maybe dynasty isn't a good word to you since it means "49ers" to you. But to most it just means the best team over the course of the next 3 or 4 years. What team will be better than Seattle over the next 3 or 4 years? Panthers?

He is under rookie contract for 2014 and 2015. Then he gets paid

His endorsements and the endorsements of many young Seahawk players will be enormous.

Maybe even more than their salary.

Sports Illustrated:

If you want to start an NFL dynasty, it’s generally
best to do it young. And in this regard, the 2013
Seattle Seahawks are in remarkably good shape
— they’re the second-youngest team ever to
reach the Super Bowl. According to data compiled
by Chase Stuart of Pro Football Reference and
Football Perspective , the Seahawks’ roster had an
average age of 26.4 years, putting them a few
hundredths of an aggregate year younger than the
1971 Miami Dolphins, the youngest Super Bowl
team ever. And in looking at all the great
dynasties that have spanned the Super Bowl era,
youth is the common characteristic. The 1992
Dallas Cowboys, who went on to win three Super
Bowls in a four-year stretch, tied for sixth-
youngest ever (27 years) with the 1999 St. Louis
Rams, who made two Super Bowls in three years
and featured one of the greatest offenses of all
time.

Dynasty is really an over reach. Seattle plays in the NFC west. With possible rule changes coming up, we could have all 4 teams in the playoffs. The NFC west is a nightmare of really physical defenses. And the rams and cardinals are not going to sit back and let seattle and san fran fight for first place.

Seattle and the Niners beat the poop out of each other two weeks ago. The Cardinals beat seattle in seattle! Before anyone thinks about a dynasty, they gotta think about just getting out of the NFC west.

After Seattle's epic comeback that fell short in Atlanta (NFC South) last year in the playoffs, the NFL studio analyst i was listening to said the Hawks remind him of the Cowboys in the early 90's right before they went on to win the Super Bowl in
1992, 1993 and 1995. I had to agree with him.

What say you?

I think that analyst is an idiot and anyone that agrees with him at this point is fickle.

Dynasty...tough

Repeat...I give that a much time chance...but the cap eventually gets every championship team eventually. 2015 is suppose to see a higher ceiling, but unless they do something very creative...SEA won't e able to afford so many high priced DEF players once RW is extended.

So did the packers after the 2011 SB. Guess what. Injuries and other unpredictable factors are a bitch.

That team didnt have nearly the young talent or depth that this one has.

There are some things working in Seattles favor here. One is there is no income/jock tax here in Seattle, and the other is players love playing for Carroll.

Dynasty? Getting through the teams in the NFC West seem to be the biggest hurdle by far. Anyone of those teams could rise up next year but Seahawks may have an edge possibly. It will be interesting.

yep, it's tough to put together a dynasty with today's rules. however, i would say if any team is going to be a 'dynasty' in the decade of the 10's, seattle has one of the best shots.

I don't know about a dynasty. The pieces are certainly there, but with free agency and salary caps, it's much harder to pull off today. The Seahawks are a very young team and that certainly helps in building a dynasty, and I wonder if the Seattle front office is going to try and lock up some of these young guys with longer contracts.
