I consider my Seahawks the favorite to win the Superbowl again next year. Our future for 2016 is a little murkier though. I think that both Sherman and Russell Wilson will be free agents that year. I hope we find a way to keep them both.

eh, there are still a lot of key pieces that are not under contract and could be elsewhere next season. a lot of times, when a team wins a SB, their UFA's get over-paid big time and so they don't re-sign. in addition, the hawks are not in a great cap situation so there may be some cap casualties to deal with also.

the important thing in potentially building a dynasty in today's NFL is to keep the qb in place and as many of the coaches and front office people though so maybe they will be o.k. and will win more SB's this decade.

I don't know about a dynasty. The pieces are certainly there, but with free agency and salary caps, it's much harder to pull off today. The Seahawks are a very young team and that certainly helps in building a dynasty, and I wonder if the Seattle front office is going to try and lock up some of these young guys with longer contracts.

I don't think they can even offer RW an extension until '15, but they have Tate, a few others they might look to extend to cap friendly deals...the window is closing as the cap will come into play to retain talent eventually, but SEA should be a very competitive team for the next several years.

I'm not ready to crown them a dynasty just yet. On some levels they remind me of the Steelers dynasty in the 70s, but on other levels they remind me of some other great defensive teams, like the 85 Bears and 00 Ravens, neither of which one more than one title.

Time will tell, but I think SF will throw a wrench in their dynasty plans. It's very likely that a young team will let it go to their head, and those late round picks will start asking for big money.

With that defense and especially that secondary, anything is possible.

One things for sure...

Those "rematches" with the 9ers are coming again next year. 9er vs Rams used to be epic, but this new rivalry is golden.

Terrific stuff right there.

They don't need to keep everyone, just the cornerstone players. Carroll has shown that he can find roles for everyone and get great production out of these role players. Hell, the SB MVP was a 7th round backup LB.

Every year the team that wins is starting a dynasty the next day...........then the steelers and ravens miss the playoffs

The NFC West is probably too good for that to happen. And the niners will have a 1st, two seconds, and three third round picks in the draft. Expected to have 13 picks. With Tank and Lattimore playing next year as well, that's a lot of young guys coming in. Division is just to strong.

While I get what you're saying and agree, the fact that they play in such a tough division makes them more seasoned after they past eachother in the playoffs. The Seahawks may not get past the niners every year, but when they do, they can get past any team, and vice-versa.

That is exactly what I meant. Add in Zona and the Rams, and the division is a slug fest because of the defenses.

Its hard to envision many dynasties taking place in the salary cap era. They have a lot of guys on rookie contracts who will need to get paid in the next couple of years. However if they keep hitting on late round picks they can continue to create flexibility with the payroll.
However like mentioned above the biggest challenge will be coming out the NFC West un scaved. All 4 teams are quality teams and it could easily come down a 11-5 or 10-6 record winning the division, which takes home field advantage out of the equation.

You don't know that - and neither does anyone else.

We have to wait and see.

you asked the question so I answered it

until it happens I can say it wont and be right

pretty boring to start this thread and have every answer be" gee I don't know?it could happen ..maybe"

but I'm a mover and a shaker and make things happen

Um...I didn't ask any questions in this thread.

I've had three responses:

One was this one.

The previous one was saying we don't know the future.

The first was to say we should wait for Seattle to win 3 before calling them a dynasty.
