DrewP's first runs given up this season. He's been impressive as a reliever. Until tonight. :D
Pitching up here brought back some not so fond memories that he still re-lived.

Watson's game one performance is the worst he's had in at least a month. I guess every reliever falters every once in a while.

Well shit, let's get into the playoffs*, this is fun even if it's bananas. This is what we got, and without any expectations. I haven't enjoyed a year* this much since 2014.

Going into the playoffs with that “we got nothing to lose” attitude.

Definitely feels better than 2016's "hope we don't miss the playoffs completely" vibe.

Do you all think Bart starts 2021 with the big league club or in the "minor leagues" (whatever that will look like next year)?

Either ESPN's GameCast has Robertson and Duggar listed incorrectly in the lineup or Robertson is hitting out of order.

:mad2: You know who would have been a better option to pitch in the 7th inning tonight? Conner Menez. :tsk:

Going into the playoffs with that “we got nothing to lose” attitude.

Or is it more of a "what the fuck" feel...?

And then we lost... :(

God if we had any pitching...

Anyone know the cardboard cutout attendance?

This year reminds me of what we used to refer to as torture. Except that the mood swings are much worse. From elation directly to '. ah shit here er go again' Yesterday's second game loss was one of the worst so far this year. A great opportunity lost.
I do have to say I'm not at all impressed with Kapler. I know that we have to trust their judgment... but I really wonder if he even looks at any stats before making pitching decisions. Why the hell use Coonrod in that situation? Same judgement as using Gott back in the first Oakland series. That didn't work out either. Also not sure why we started Scrabble in that situation either. He sure the hell hasn't helped us much this year and has just come off of an injury. Really question his pitching decisions. Very very tough loss.

You are giving Kapler WAY too much credit. He gets his marching orders from upstairs on most of those decisions, me thinks...

I thought FZ was smarter than that, in terms of bullpen usage. Coonrod, really, in a tight game? What has he shown this year that gave even a glimmer of hope that it would work (if the goal was a win)?
