I was on the tread in the gym following the game. When Watson baaaaarely got thru the 7th, I was thinking "great, our best reliever just gave up three runs and we've still got two innings to cover....ooops...GAME OVER FYWW.

One good thing about 7-inning games is that a Wholestaff game doesn’t kill the staff

7 inning games and expanded pitching staffs equal less complaining about doubleheaders. That is one thing I've liked about 2020, more doubleheaders.

You would think that after talk on this thread, during the first game, that doubleheaders are only 7 innings each and I even acknowledged that truth in this thread, that I would remember that toward the end of the second game. But no! I was about to complain about Kapler emptying his bench in the 6th inning and only realized why that's not a big deal as I was about to post it here.
