I liked the Cleveland Stadium. There is some development going on (a la Staples Center) around the ballpark. Lots of hotels, bars and restaurants around for before and after the game. My first game there I had to sit through a rain delay.

First time through the lineup -- FOUR one pitch ABs. One since.

Hacktastic.

Was it a mistake to have Manaea start the 6th?

He was only at about 70 pitches, and was throwing well.

However, when has he gone 5+ innings or 70+ pitches yet this season? Seems like they were playing with fire sending him out there, and sure enough, the Guardians scored two runs. Manaea didn't give them up, Walker did. But Manaea and cr@ppy defense put them on. Shame.

And the Giant hitters aren't. (hitting)

Can't win 'em all. Very quiet night with the bats on both sides. Especially for the Giants with RISP.

Especially disappointing in that the CLE starter had an ERA higher than Manaea's, and was hittable.

Get 'em tomorrow.

If your bats suck, your mitts can’t. Bad combo.

Where do we rank league wide in unearned runs given up? We have to be close to the lead.

Much as I dislike Manaeuuuugh, none of this was on him. Simple defense by Wade and simple situational hitting they win 3-1 instead of losing 3-1.

That is another issue I've noticed with the Giants recently. Our relievers do poorly with inherited traffic. I wonder what percentage of inherited runners have scored this season? And what that percentage has been for the past month.

The Angels have given up a whopping 79 unearned runs

The ROX have given up 62 unearned runs

The Giants have given up 61 unearned runs

The Twins have given up 34 unearned runs
