Just a joy to watch this team go through the motions of hitting. "Swing looks good. Can't teach that. And his girlfriend is at least an 8."

Through 4 innings, the Giants have no hits against a journeyman (29) pitcher who entered the game with a 7.22 ERA. Also, no walks. Either he is really, really, really good, or.....

Me thinks Giants need a new hitting coach. How about Barry Bonds as our hitting coach / pinch hitter specialist. Since they wont let him in the Hall of Fame, this will start his eligibility all over again so he will add to his numbers for the next round of votes in 5 years

Interesting idea. I don't think Bonds would do it. More often than not, All-Star athletes do not make good coaches. They do things by instinct. They see (and do) things no one else sees (or does). It is usually the good athletes who had to practice, practice, practice who make the best coaches.

I don't know. If Bonds has an interest in and a track record of developing hitters, then sure. But I am not sure he'd be able to reach these hitters. In fact, he may still be able to outhit many of them.
