Perez earned another start with his performance yesterday. Not sure it matters, the way this team plays sans Pagan. If Pagan ends up being "out", it really doesn't matter what happens in these games. Even if we hold on the WC, we could very likely lose the WC game without him, anyway.

However, the way Perez looked yesterday, I would have though giving Brown a look-see would have been the way to go. These actions by the org are deafeningly loud. Chances Brown is still with the team come ST?

We're kind of injured again going into the stretch....Morse/Belt/Pagan out...not great, but my guess is we still hold onto the first WC when the dust settles.

It's just a different team without Pagan in there...

As much I want Pence batting down in the order, I agree. He did a very good job leading off while Blanco seems to have a mental block when in that position.

And giving JCP another start is very head-scratching. As I said earlier, I fear this says more about Brown than any of us would want it to.

We won't catch the Doggies and we won't lose the WC slot. But what the hell are they thinking with JCP and Blanco back at lead off? Neither of these experiments have been successful. Even yesterday. JCP leading off. A sub 200 hitter.

JP is a career .091 hitter when leading off.

Guppy is a career .245 hitter when leading off, although he has only hit .191 in the first inning for a career. When Guppy leads off a game, he is hitting .160, but hitting .231 when leading off an inning this year.
