nope baylor lost. we are in. no matter what.

Oklahoma State would get in over us if they finish 12-0. They would have wins over 3 top 15 teams (TCU, OU, and Baylor) while our best win would be Stanford. All of the other teams we beat will not be ranked.

It would be a shame if they put us in over Okie State. We need Okie State to lose to Baylor or Oklahoma

Oklahoma State were 8th last week. The 2 teams in front of them were defeated so they'll be 6th this week at the lowest.....should really be 5th because their win over TCU is better than any Iowa has.

They play Baylor next Saturday. I would not shocked at all if they pass ND next week. They would have 2 wins against top 15 opponents while we'll have none.

We really Oklahoma State to lose. No way around it

Except the thing you need to remember is that Baylor wouldn't be a top 15 team at that point hell they might just be one this week. TCU will drop once they lose to Oklahoma next week. Also Oklahoma State looked unimpressive against Iowa State less so than Notre Dame against Wake Forest.

People keep talking like they'll have wins against top teams when they won't if they beat up on one another and the way I understand it they look at it from a currently ranked perspective not just if they were ranked when you played them.

Also with Temple dropping a game against USF, Notre Dame really need Navy to win out.

I just find it hard to believe they leave a 12-0 team out who defeated Baylor, TCU, and Oklahoma for a 11-1 team who best wins came against Stanford, Temple, and USC. 2 of those teams would finish with at least 3+ losses (If ND beats Stanford) and Temple very well may lose another game also.

TCU likely finishes 11-1 and OU likely finish 10-2. If that happens both will be ranked in the top 15 at the end of the year. Baylor finishes 9-3 or 10-2 but would still finish much higher in any rankings than Temple, USC, Pittsburgh, or Navy.

I think we're delusional if we think they leave Okie State out of the playoffs if they go 12-0. We need Baylor or OU to beat them

I hope you're right, but I still think we need a few things to happen to feel 100% sure that we are in.

And also you keep talking like going to Stanford is some lock of a win. Outside of Pittsburgh we have struggled in every true road game we played this season. Stanford is no cake walk 2 weeks from today. Will likely be our hardest game since Clemson

Don't forget Navy.
The problem is that Baylor and TCU really didn't play anyone so it's hard to know how good they really are so being a really great win they may not be. Baylor has lost to the only team they've played all season with a winning record (Yes November 14th is the first of the only three meaningful games they've played all season). Oklahoma State did beat TCU but they are looking less and less impressive every week and without Boykin they won't be ranked after losing to Oklahoma. So how impressive is it to not really play anyone until November and then beat up on overrated conference opponents. Also USC will be ranked this week.

@purguy12 We are nowhere near being guaranteed a spot if we win out. If Oklahoma St goes unbeaten, they'll be in over us.

Baylor goes down tonight, now we just need one more. And even then, Oklahoma worries me.

Our best shot might be MSU beating Ohio State and then beating Iowa. Knocking out he Big 10. Or I still say that Clemson losing to NC in the ACC championship game could knock out the whole ACC.

Totally agree. Let's say OU beats TCU next week. It would mean that Okie State will be facing a higher rank team than we would be playing in the final week. That would not have been case if Stanford won today. Oklahoma is going to be a top 10 team this week. Stanford will be out of the top 10.

Yeah Oklahoma can still jump in despite the loss against Texas.
