Crap! Another leadoff double by the Giants. We so svck at this RISP thing. Maybe it should be RTCTHPBWNS, Runners Tantalizingly Closer to Home Plate But Will Never Score. Doubt it is catchy enough to make it into the board lexicon.

Is there no hitting coach who can help develop these guys as hitters? Blanco is in a tough position, having to start rather than be the defensive replacement. But he won't bunt. He won't wait out walks. He won't hit it on the ground for a base hit.

I think he is 4 for his last 53 now. And Noggin STILL runs him out there.

Thank you, :panda:

Now 2-21 with RISP against the Brewers

Since the ASB the Giants are dead last in runs scored. No surprise.

They are also dead last in HR since the ASB with 5.

You can't blame all that on the absence of Oxy.

18th in ERA post-ASB at 3.58

The Tiggers' pitching staff post-ASB has an ERA of 1.94! Think about that! The Dogs, as hot as they have been with Kershaw and Grienke, have an ERA of 2.45.[/QUOTE]

Blanco 5 for his last 55 (.091)

And we keep playing like Keystone Kops in the field, gifting MIL another run. Well, at least they hit something known as a "Sacrifice Fly" with a runner on 3rd and less than two outs. The Giants ought to study up on that and try it sometime. It has worked well for decades for other teams to score runs.

Now an almost totally insurmountable two run deficit in the bottom of the 9th. Should take about 5 pitches to close this out. Safest way for the Brewers to do this is allow a leadoff double. The Giants won't know what to do, and make three quick outs in succession.

I hope for an Earl Weaver Special, though. We haven't hit one of those since June 14th.

And we are the only team in baseball without a grand slam this season. :L

Another lost game in a miserable season. Giants 5-40 in the last four games with, well, you know.

No leadership. No keeping the line moving. No plan to hit a pitcher, or work a count. Stamos singles in the 1st? No problem. Pence with the easy FPGIDP. All.Season.Long.

Nice to see Cain pitch well (except for the obligatory gopher ball).

Nice to see Kieschnick play well, too.

BB9 had a nice game.

I don't care how good an outfielder Blanco is, he must sit for a while. He is killing this team with his hitting, or lack thereof.

And the fielding? smh

Another loss when committing errors (3-19 when committing two errors or more) and not scoring 1st (18-42) that's .300 ball when not scoring 1st.
