Just watched the highlight again (from Tuesday).

It is officially a foul ball, and infield foul balls cannot be challenged.

However, considering the way Broadway pitched, that runner would probably still come around to score, regardless of that call.
Nope. The inning would have been over after the strike out (assuming Wong was called out).

Or the ground out would have been a DP instead of the runner-advancing ground all that it ended up being.

It's tough to say, did Wong slow down because he saw the balk sign? He didn't slide.

Regardless, it's looking like a huge run lost.

Yea, who knows what would have happened. But they were given the free 90, and that guy ended up scoring.

Is Byrd playing himself onto the '16 team?

Wow, I'll take a wild guess that Byrd is slugging 2.000 as a Giant! What a great job he's done.

Aoki. Blanco leads off.

*should
He has a ton of 1-hit games, but he is still having a rough August (OBP-wise)...

.212/.288/.424/.712

The slugging and OPS are fine. But he is the lead off hitter. He needs to set the table.

Nice when you looking to bench a .712 OPS guy

With Byrd hitting like this, I really want to see what this team can do at full-strength.

Okay, I got carried away. After looking at his game logs, including today's game, he's only slugging .667.

Damn, we just never seem to be able to put together a good rally lately.

Well, we'd probably see a 3-man platoon with Aoki/Pagan/Blanco. They would all be rested, that's fore sure.

Didn't think about the possible double play.

Coming into today, with the Giants...

.219/.286/.531/.817

Those numbers will obviously be better after today. But even coming into today, those are good numbers for a 4/5 hitter.
