So it essentially comes down to this:

We have three SP who can give us a chance to win every time they take the ball and 2 heaping piles of #weaklink suck. 40% of the our games we have very little chance to win.

Not a recipe for success.

My season has literally come down to praying that Tim Hudson has something left....

Neither called strike 3 was anywhere near debatable.

These kids need to protect with 2 strikes. Some of these kids are totally free swinging on the first pitch, but then let the crazy-glue set after 2 strikes.

Bad, bad baseball.

Well, the Giants are still in the race. They didn't completely fall flat on their face when they easily could have with all the injuries and starting pitching woes.

Bring on the Dodgers and the NL West

Good problem to have to think about.

5.5M is a bargain for a player like Aoki. Even if he is only a platoon/#4 OF.

But with Tomlinson busting out, Blanco continuing to be a GREAT 3.5 OFer, an expected full year from Pence, Byrd maybe sticking around, Mac almost ready, Fargas maybe ready, Cole getting ready to push...

The OF is starting to look a little crowded.
After playing a season in low A ball!?!?

LOL

Is he that low? It seems like I have been watching him for a while. I didn't look at BBRef before making that post.

Yea, he may not be ready for '16...

Fargas got hit in the face a week or so ago. Luckily, he's okay. No eye or dental damage. Diagnosed a facial fracture.

Are you sure? He didn't start playing until 2007. I can only see that he was signed in 2006, but don't see a date.
Sanchez signed on July 12. Timmeh signed on June 30.

cal, I did a bit of research. Here are the 10 longest tenured Giants, on the 25 man roster, in terms of beginning in the organization:
Cain, Romo, Adrianza, Lincecum, Sanchez, Bumgarner, Crawford, Posey, Affeldt and Perez.
If you go by tenure based on debut with the big league club, it goes: Cain, Lincecum, Romo, Affeldt, Bumgarner, Posey, Casilla, Lopez, Belt and Vogelsong.

Lastly, out of the 39 players to appear on the 25 man roster:
*20 of them started their professional career with the Giants' organization. 18 of those 20 have never played in another organization.
*3 more of them have only played in the big leagues with the Giants.
*Another 4 spent some time in the Giants' minor league system before being called up to the big league club.
*Out of the 12 players who started their time with the club in San Francisco first, 5 came over in mid season trades, 2 were off season trades, 2 were minor league free agents and only 3 were initially acquired as major league free agents (Affeldt, Hudson and Aoki).
