Unreal that Braves are still having Jim Johnson come in a pitch. No excuse for that. He would be sent down and offloaded ASAP.

This year, with 49 IP, he has given up 52 hits, 31 ER, and has an ERA of 5.69. Dump his ass.

I rather enjoyed it, as did Kyle Seager.

Join the club of the 9 other teams that have won the game after JJ came in with the lead late into the game.

I posted this in the other thread, but I'm reposting it here:

So one night, Doug Fister gives up a HR to the first batter and then proceeds to get 27 outs without giving up a hit. Last night, Rich Hill gets 27 outs without giving up a hit and then gives up a HR to the last batter.

Yankees haven't lost to a team, other than the Red Sox, in 2 weeks.

Interesting.....Today is one of those days, Fullmer vs Garcia, Girardi will rest most of his lineup cause its a day game and he's an idiot

Love to steal todays game, come home vs Seattle with a chance to really get on a roll

Topic making the rounds here

Tanaka has looked like the real Tanaka for a while now in the second half

Would you bet on him opting out of $67 million

Or not?

I'd bet he does. He's been good for about 2 months now. His ERA over the last 10 starts is right in line with what he did last year, and his K rate is better while his BB rate is the same. While he might not see that AAV number, he could get more years and more overall money since he'll only be 29 to start next year.

I read Ervin Santana has pitched for a decade with the partial tear that Tanaka has

Just wonder how that plays into the Yankees thinking, and other pursuing teams

Part of me thinks the Yankees wouldnt mind him opting out before the arm explodes

But maybe not, cause its a decent deal for a guy thats proven to be a pretty solid top of the rotation guy

I think he'll get close to 5/100 on the open market, so I'm sure the Yankees would like to have him back at 3/67
