He is going to have to pitch good the rest of the season to justify his option getting picked up in my opinion. Otherwise the Giants should just let him walk and give that money to Gaudin.

I think Le Grope is already in the plans for next year. We are talking about Vogey as the 5.

couldn't even go 4...

tz, you STILL think it is a given that his option will be picked up?

You literally meant "pitch well," right?:laugh3:

And I do not disagree with you re: Vogey's option. The jury is still out on him, and if he does not show some consistency, that it will not be about the 6M, it will be about the roster spot.

To anyone actually watching this game here: Is today a case of the Nationals pitching so well today, or, are the Giants just not hitting?

Just curious, as the box score looks so odd. The first 4 guys today have 1 hit each, and nothing from the rest of the team.

Personally, I wouldn't mind giving Kickham and Surkamp a shot at the 5th spot, assuming the Giants bring back Timmy and Gaudin.

Come on, tz...

Don't turn this board into a grammar discussion destination.

Sheesh...

While I do feel you on this issue, I still think spelling and grammer are important. Not so much in just communicating between posters, but more in the area of "how can I take you and what you say seriously, if you can not spell or word your posts in a way that shows intelligence".

I will trust the PTB to go in the right direction, but I fear that both of those guys are either career 5/6/7 guys or just not ready for prime time.

In a pinch, I am fine with either one taking the bump. But entering the season with them holding down a rotation slot scares me.

Now maybe they use one of them as a bridge to Escobar/Crick/Blackburn. I would be OK with that...

Hector showing what could've been had he maintained a decent off-season eating and workout regimen.
