I think he is overrated. If the Giants are going to target a big name hitter, go after Soto. Although I am afraid that may be a fool’s errand

I have said for a while that we need to focus on acquiring athletic, speedy players. Think the ‘80s/‘90s Cardinals. If we get a bopper, great, but that should not be the focus of this teams roster construction.

I don’t expect to care about baseball by the time that draft happens, so I wont voice an opinion on how the Giants should be constructing their roster at that time.

I really don't plan on being around that long to find out. I don't think more than 100 years of torture would be good for my heart, much less 900 years.

I have voiced my lack of excitement for Tibbs. But I have also read that this was a very shallow draft (anything outside of the top 10 was a real crapshoot). I have also read that Tibbs has tools that a lot of scouts really like. And the fact that he looks (both physically as well as performance-wise) like Joc Pederson certainly colors my opinion of him.
